Hi Dave, changing a boat name is a simple process but depends on whether the boat is Part 1 or Small Ships registered. Either way our team help you with this free of charge with a purchase. It then just leaves you to choose the sign writing and new name. We think “DAVE” is a great name for a boat 😊

G’day, nice video. Specs would have been handy - l,b,d and tanks, hull thickness and material (specific Al) Also an idea of the hydraulic motor noise. Launching at hours when you don’t want to wake everybody is important (to me). I assume that if the screen folds, the T-top does also?.. Be good to see it all folded up. Lastly, are there options to have the cockpit more ‘enclosed’ or protected. I’m not criticising you video, I really enjoyed it! Cheers.

Exceptional! Particularly for the price.

Fairline have definitely got it right with this 50 flybridge the living areas are stunning and the woodwork is second to none. I'm not too keen on IPS drives as this adds to the servicing costs but apart from this, Fairline have nailed it with this 50 footer!

I've never seen a T8 with a cushion on the foredeck. Is that really offered?

Again, Faitline do such a beautiful job with quality and materials used. Problem is, that compared to a lot of other 60' to 68' boats on the market today, it's all looking a bit old fashioned. Bland colours, oldy worldy layout like a 1980's retirement home. Positive is that the foredeck is probably best in class due clever packaging. Sorry, really top quality door handles, but the shape of these are called "jacket rippers" as they catch on any and all clothing. Best advice, re-think needed Fairline and go see some of the competition.

Just saw this model yesterday at the boat ramp on hood canal it was stuck because the engine that powers the drive wheels overheats and must sit for 45 minutes approximately to cool off before it will start again by design. This boat is very impressive up close ! Unfortunately this man was having a bad day his friend with the boat trailer was stuck also on the boat ramp as he went a little to far down the ramp broke his rear 4x4 driveshaft and even with a tow truck was still stuck 45 minutes after the tow truck started trying to winch him out. All in all a bad day for these guys . The Boat finally cooled enough so the engine would then start and he drove the boat off the end of the ramp . With that 300hp Yamaha outboard the boat soon disappeared.

I know the owners have spent a lot of money on it and are looking to recoup some of that cost, having decided they now want a bigger boat but this price at £90k is silly. There's plenty of other 35ft sports cruisers out there (including a very similar Portofino also in Poole which has had a re-fit) which are 10 years newer or more for £70-80k, including Cranchi and Jeanneau, which bcause they're newer in style, don't need any re-fit in the first place and are still quite modern. I'd also be concerned over the longevity and durability of a dark coloured wrap. That's going to absorb all the heat from the sun and be too hot to walk on bare foot, as well as being subject to blistering.
