Looks like the machinery is only going to be able to help so much. Someone is going to have to crawl through the mangrove and pick it out by hand.

I think that the owners of the boats bear some responsibility to aid in the clean up and removal of their own boats .

In my opinion, If you can afford a boat like these, you can afford to have it removed and the Mangroves cleaned up!

They're gonna need a big barge and crane to pluck those boats out of the mangroves.

Your "teams have started to clean out the mangrove" headline is misleading...what your video actually shows is TWO GUYS working...at this rate it shouldn't take more than a few decades to clean up the tens of thousands of tons of rat infested trash which remains all over the island...

Mother Nature is a wonderful thing

Those marine salvage guys are the biggest thieves that I've ever witnessed. They steal everything on those boats that they salvage.

Couldn’t they just burn the trash and let the mangroves come back to life.

The only way the mangroves are going to ever get cleaned is by a massive effort of boots on the ground. If so, special protective clothing must be worn as it sure looks as if there are snakes, thorny brush and wet marshes to contend with. Plus, what is not mentioned at all is, “What’s underwater”? If all the waterways, canals and coastal areas could miraculously be drained, I bet it would look like a junkyard. So sad!

Shouldn’t the people in jail should go do that also !!! I’m sure the taxes are high enough around there and they need to do something besides eat the tax payers money ! No one feeds us for free !!! I’m serious when I say ALOT more people need to get out there !

Man, that is some light speed progress there. Compare it to the Panama City marinas and Port St. Joe marina after Hurricane Michael. You guys are moving!!!
