Should work, the most important thing is you have to have the same base,. meaning emui 12= Harmony 2.0, emui 13 = Harmony 3.0, so it will fail if you try emui 13 to switch for Harmony 2.0

You have to downgrade via HiSuite software. It will automatically offer Emui 12 which you need to be able to switch to Harmony

You need to downgrade via hisuite software, and when it on emui 12 again, you can switch to Harmony

I have lots of videos and photos which will take too long to back up If I couldn't do back up Will these files remain intact and videos running well after upgrade to Emui 13? I heard some users after upgrade, experienced great extent of lag when running some of the apps, or phone auto reboot itself . Any solution ? Thx in advance
Hi, to be honest I leave an update/upgrade for as late as possible. I recommend for videos and pictures that you back up monthly. OTA updates usually don't delete personal files or settings. As for a slower phone after update, well yes, at the beginning sure, newer versions are always bigger plus in the beginning it is analysing and gradually adapting things to your habits of using, by this I mean how long, which apps ECT...

global version have Snapdragon cpu , while Chinese have kirin and for it can be installed. for global version the only harmony os I found was 2.0.1

HI, I making a video for EMUI 13, see no diference as of UI. You will have to decide yourself, as there is no rollback from EMUI 13 to Harmony OS 2

hi, try here to download a rom androidmtk.com/download-huawei-stock-rom-for-all-models, search for your model(version), and try with dload method as in my video. Just save/archive/backup everything important before you start. There is a chance you'll get new updates afterwards

If you have model NAM LM00 (chinise version) then you can through myHuawei app, if you have NAM LX9 (global version) like this phone then you can't

I have huawei nova 9 model nam-lx9. I upgraded to harmonyos 2.0 using the my huawei region method back in july 2023. I have got harmony OS 3.0 update in October 2023. will I be getting harmonyos 4?
