My 2004 Chevy Malibu the hood roof and trunk are so badly oxidized yet the fenders and doors look good I'm using Turtle Wax heavy duty compound with a Sears Craftsman buffer and a wool pad! I found it easier to actually wet the panel first and give the Wool pad a few sprays of water and then put the compound on is this wrong?

Hey! I’ve watched your video a couple time and it’s well put together. The only question I have is.. I got this for my 2003 Chevy Silverado, if I put that foam seal on, it doesn’t sit against the truck very tightly and the screws barely reach. Do I need that foam pad?

Okay my brother, and I found what I was looking for. I need to change my headlights and I’m wondering WHY. Does the front grill pop off easy after taking those screws out?

If you have a 12 extension and a magnetic 10mm you can skip removing the shroud and grill. I just removed the 2 bolts using the extension for the lower bolt (you can see it if you look down into the small pocket in the shroud between the top bolt and the grill), removed the clip in the wheel well, lifted the tab behind the headlight and then pushed the headlight assembly out from the back. I didnt have a magnetic 10mm which made it a little more difficult to reinstall the lower bolt but i was able to get it with a little effort but i have long skinny fingers. When reinstalling position the grill side of the assembly then rotate the assembly towards the wheel well. When inserting the grill side be careful the small clear tab doesn't scratch the side of the grill like i did. It took me about 10 minutes for the first bulb and about 5 minutes for the second. I hope this helps to save you a bit of time and effort.

Why anyone would do a muffler delete vs racing bullets or vibrant 1792 or vibrant 1794 is beyond me. Then you have mufflers so legally there is no question and they sound amazing. Whats an extra 130 bucks for legal protection and a better sound if you are already spending so much on a car?

Only thing I’d be weary of with DIY would be body, suspension, electronics, inner engine/transmission work, but keeping it real… I wouldn’t worry about resale from doing that stuff myself, I’d keep it forever. Worth saving 90% of the money for a chance to get down and dirty with such a beautiful machine. I saw BrosFourrSpeed did his oil change and air filter for around $100, only $20 more than my Jetta!

There is no need to remove the grill. 12in extention on a socket for the bottom bolt. Changed mine in 5min.

I agree it’s a pain, at least make some of the clips metal or something if they want the grill and that front cover to be removed and installed more than a few times. Definitely a slightly finicky set of clips on the bumper not to mention that silly white tab you have to push up behind the headlight from inside the wheel well. PITA for sure

c8 parts way cheaper....engine/trans more reliable...easy mods...

Buy a 996 Porsche and do an LS swap on it. Two snails, no waiting. Widebody, RWB style. Look at Renegade Hybrids conversions. As cheap as you can get a 996, you can spend the rest on new parts.

Should of kept the GTR.. But yeah do what you think is best.
