FOLLOW JESUS wk 7 STRENGTH
Lesson 7 explores the theme of strength through the teachings and example of Jesus, offering profound insights into spiritual strength and discipleship. Jesus, always part of the solution and never the problem, exemplifies strength by casting out demons and empowering his followers. Key biblical references, such as Psalm 31:24 and Ephesians 3:16-17, highlight the importance of being strong and courageous, rooted in spiritual growth and reliance on God's unlimited resources.Prayer plays a pivotal role in strengthening believers, as demonstrated in Luke 22:32, where Jesus intercedes for Simon Peter's faith. Jesus' life patterns reveal that he was always strong for the weak, focusing on others rather than seeking personal glory (Mark 12:39-40). His teachings encourage believers to seek justice and help the oppressed, aligning with Isaiah 1:11, 13, 17.Jesus' expectation of unshakable faith in his disciples is evident in Matthew 14:27 and James 1:6-8, where he emphasizes courage and single-minded faith. Despite societal norms, Jesus remained unoffended and open, as seen in John 4:27 and John 8:10, underscoring his approach to authority that builds up rather than controls (2 Corinthians 10:8).In adversity, Jesus found strength through prayer and submission to God's will (Matthew 26:39). Believers are encouraged to find peace in his overcoming of the world (John 16:33). Jesus' life serves as a model for strength, consistently demonstrating resilience and commitment without burning out, as shown in Matthew 12:29.This lesson underscores the importance of spiritual strength, community, and mission, showcasing Jesus' teachings as a timeless guide for navigating life's challenges with faith and courage. Keywords to explore include 'spiritual strength,' 'Jesus' teachings,' 'prayer,' 'discipleship,' and 'biblical strength.'

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you 👉the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: 👉that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, Romans 10:9 - 👉that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus 👉and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, 👉YOU WILL BE SAVED.

@@DarkHorseHorsemanship You have no proof of this God of yours but in your 'faith'. I have lived a long time and been in such sects of religion for decades and the teachings are not believable at all. If it makes you feel better that's great but the suspension of disbelief because of this unproven idea is the most amazing thing to me. It is life changing to realize the hoax. Read the Jesus Hoax. Listen to Charles Giuliani. May YOU see what you are not seeing in this unproven god belief as you navigate your life journey.

@@schrapnellcotton3413 Help me out here. If I wanted to know about being on the moon, who should I talk with? 1) A person who has looked at the moon from afar and tried to determine what it's like? 2) A person who has been on the moon and has intimate, personal experience on the moon? 3) Someone who has studied all the people who have been on the moon? Similarly, if I want to know and understand God should I... 1) Look to someone who knows God intimately? 2.) Someone who is trying to figure God out from a great distance, but has no personal experience with God? 3) Someone who has studied the people who have had intimate interactions with God? Can't speak for you, but I'm going with those who know God personally. To do otherwise, I would have to give up and turn my back on over 50 years of walking with God. The biblical promise is clear. Seek him with your whole heart and you will find him. But if you don't want to find him, I guess we don't have much more to talk about.

It's been around for years, but seems to be more common of late. Mostly motivational speakers and leadership development people. It is becoming a common philosophy in leadership development. Sadly, not in the way Jesus developed people.

You've provided an interesting perspective...Jesus literally shared the Gospel around the ENTIRE World. He and only He was able to do that. We're told to be "Christ-like", not to try to act as he did on this Earth. There's lots of non-believers in my family - I suppose I should start there. It has become very, very difficult to share the Gospel, though, when Christianity as a whole is hurting so badly in the USA, where I am. The method must change. You could very well be right.

I was watching titanic and i was thinking to my self faith is the reason why so many men stayed on the ship to save as many passangers as possible. The pastor put his daughter on a life boat and could have gotten on him self but he stayed behind to comfort those who were stranded. Then at the end he spoke with a man in the watter prayed for him even though he wasnt christian. That man ended up surviving. Also all the men who stayed in the bowls of the ship to keep the power on and keep the boilers running so passangers could escape. The irish had such strong faith, they knew they were going to die a horrific death and they stayed anyway.
