    3/4” seems too large. Baby gophers can fit through smaller holes, can’t they?

    Hi 👋👋 Do you guys have any advise on ground stakes to hold down the cells? IE - type and how many to buy? and place them every cell or every other cell on the parameter? Also did you leave your stakes in after the cells were filled or did you pull them? Many thanks 🙏🏼

    I was just checking out this video on installing geocell panels and had a few thoughts to share. As someone who's done this kind of work before, I can tell you that anchoring your geocell panel securely is absolutely crucial to its effectiveness. But maybe you're not sure what I mean by "anchoring" or how to do it properly. That's where I think it would be awesome if the video could go into a bit more detail or even better, if the creators could make a new video showing us how to install geocell panels from different providers like Presto Geosystems, Geoweb, or Basecore. I know I would definitely tune in for that kind of content, and I'm sure plenty of others would too! Let's keep the discussion going in the comments and maybe we can learn even more about geocell installation together.

    Years ago I completely buried 24" wide 1/2" galvanized hardware cloth 18" down with a bend outward at the bottom around my flower bed. There are many mole and vole holes near the flower bed but none have gotten in so far.

    Is it safe to install wire mesh under gravel being metal an electrical conductor? Love to stand barefoot on my patio's gravel area watching the rain and thunderstorms sometimes.

    I had wire under my lawn for 25 years before I had to replace it. A lot of it was still good, but voles were getting in. I tore out the whole lawn, put in the wire and put the lawn pieces back. It was very lumpy at first, but is fully recovered now and beautiful. I had to install hardware cloth along the sides, and under all my raised beds, and now I worry that it may have lead in it. Did not buy the HW cloth from this site. I am purchasing more gopher wire here, and I plan to use it instead of hardware cloth. My problem began with squirrels, and is ending with voles...perhaps a more difficult problem. gophers are easy to trap, but squirrels and voles are TERRIBLE!

    The only mesh you can put in the ground is plasticized mesh that is engulfed in plastic to prevent the wire from rusting.

    Hi. I plan on using 1/4-3/4 gravel. I’m not as familiar with type 57 as a size but from what I have read it can be 1.25” and smaller but I don’t believe it includes fines (zero). Is this correct? Thanks for the video

    Can use Recycled Asphalt?

    • @landscapediscount1319
      @landscapediscount1319 4 роки тому

      Hi Louis, Yes you can use Recycled Asphalt. When selecting and infill material it should have the following characteristics: 1. The material drains well 2. no aggregate in-fill material that is greater than 1/3 the size of the cell, meaning if you're using a 3" cell then no infill material larger than 1" aggregates. 3. Stay away from organic infill materials that will degrade over time. The cell depth for the dupont ground grid is 2 inches or 50mm and has a cell aperture of 2" x 4.3". The material thickness itself is ~.5mm to .75mm depending on the kind you purchase

    Hello Landscape Discounters. What are the extremes of temperature (brittleness) and curvature that this product has been engineered to? I have a cart trail very much like the one shown in the video but with curves, banks and steep climbs. How well is this predicted expected to perform in ice and snow conditions? Any warrantee? Any authorized installers in New England states?

    I have tried many types of wire and they all rust over time and gophers then have a feast.

    • @landscapediscount1319
      @landscapediscount1319 4 роки тому

      Yes that is a good point as a standard wire mesh will rust and corrode over time. It's best to make sure you get a mesh like Digger's that is hot dipped galvanized to prevent against rusting and will not prematurely decay.
