    You do not want employees you want customers. You do what you’re doing and selling what you create. Any work or actions taken are by you for your benefit. The onus is on the customer to implement the knowledge you share. You get paid no upfront. Value proposition is all subjective. Accountability for the value is placed or shifted to the customer and your sipping the margaritas with upfront money. God bless the USA.

    Much of my own mentoring came early on through the ideology of a hand-up rather than a hand-out. I agree that a good solid work ethic coupled with raw energy, grit and enthusiasm is a probable recipe for success -- Smart man.

    This is a great interview. Jerry drops some powerful insights on life here. And his book “Stop Acting Like a Seller and Start Thinking Like a Buyer" is an awesome read and one of the best sales books I've ever read.

    I really like what Barry is saying a about course correction. Having a little humility goes a long way. Scientists for example will chase a theory they are invested in for as long as it takes until it proves otherwise. It takes a great deal of humility to give up on a particular idea you are married to and admit it may not be working. - again love his continued point being made to practice humility.
