US BILLBOARD HOT 100 SINGLES CHARTS: WEEK OF NOV 24, 1958 NEW NUMBER 94 PEAKED NUMBER 35 UK NUMBER 6
@@musicchartsplay3461 only number 35 in the US ?!! Crikey ! Thanks for posting 👌
I had this extended version and foolishly let it go....THANK YOU for this upload!!!
cool
Superieur 👍👌
We had this played at start of my dad's funeral on 14th October 24 . This is his 1960 stereogram ... The birth of all modern music , along with buddy Holly / gene Vincent / Bill Haley / Elvis .... Will still be feet tapping in a 1000 years ! Cheers for comment , more to come , let me know if you have a favourite for me to post .....👍
I was seven years old when this GREAT song came out....seventy three now and it still knocks my socks off!!!
Sounds like you need to service it very distorted
@@marksmith3489 Hi Mark , thanks ... I hadn't replayed before posting , nay have to delete / re - record . It's actually the smartphone distorting , it improves through the track . This was my dad's stereo and I had it fully restored 2 years ago . The 78 is played using the correct sapphire stylus . As I'm sure you're aware the sound won't compare to a digital compressed file such as Spotify ! Lol Appreciate your input
Everyman's an island / visions of you
His music has helped me through the last three weeks on my dad's passing and funeral , who was also a true cockney. This was the day after dad's funeral. Cheers to you , " The mighty wobble " You play the bass like a fucking demon 👿😎🙏👌🥰
Der meister Bill Haley.
Fantastisch Musik.
wow ,I loved Buddy and the crickets have all 45s ,only had few 78s
Ditto , well before my time , but buddy Holly is the foundation for everything we hear today , eg , the stones and Mick jagger covering this . never gets old 😎👌
Recorded on November 3, 1941. Composed and arranged by Jerry Gray. Originally released on {American} Bluebird B-11382.
And for those of you who've seen "The Glenn Miller Story" (1954), the song was *NOT* inspired by Glenn {James Stewart} giving Helen {June Allyson} a string of pearls. That was strctly Hollywood fiction.
Fab!
That is a "Proper" set-up, Ian. Thank you for the upload!
My pleasure ! That's the very same stereo I first played this record on , that I've owned since I was 12 , oldskool 😎 Watch out for more soon . Cheers 🍻
@@iandraper32 Thanks, Ian.
Not much has changed since '81..
très beau ! thank you very much ! I like this car
Thank you, what wonderful cars.
Interceptors are lovely oldskool British cars , until you visit the petrol station 😂!
Mine is DAC 79 , one of 30 DAC cars left out of 120😢I've owned her 35 years now ! 🫣
The pic on my left is my other one , owned 14 years
Capos del ritmo
First UB40 7" and 12" I ever bought , they were responsible for getting me into my lifelong love of reggae / Jamaican music 😎 big love guys and RIP Brian Travers and Astro .......
I have an eclectic mix of vinyl going back to shellac 78s Glenn miller / buddy holly etc
My pleasure , many thanks for your memories , what music does for us . I too. Used to have to change the piles of 45 s for my mother in the 70's . Am off work after whiplash injury so will post more vids . If you want any particular reggae / ska tracks let me know and check out my listing. All the best from soft southern Dorset coast 👌👍😎
Man it takes me back my parents were into swing and jazz but my brother liked reggae and ska but I remember the old stereogram and the lovely tone especially with listening to the FM radio my dad would stack it he 45s and let them drop you've got great collection there and a few signed by the band top man best wishes from Glasgow
Blessed Soul Terry x
RIP Terry Hall
