HMCS Saguenay wreck dive

A group of divers descended onto the HMCS Saguenay on the 24th of June 2024. The wreck, which was scuttled near Lunenburg 30 years ago (dive was 2 days shy of the anniversary) is still largely intact, but has deteriorated significantly in recent years. Life is abundant and visibility was excellent!
Diving the Bohemian off the Nova Scotia coast near Sambro.

The internet suggests that the Bohemian was 512’ with four masts and a steel hull. It was travelling from Boston to Liverpool, England with 180 people on board. On March 1st, 1920, it struck Black Rock off Sambro Island Nova Scotia in the North Atlantic in a storm and sank. Six people died.

Grand Narrows in Cape Breton’s Bras d’Or Lake delivers some of the most interesting underwater scenery in Nova Scotia. The site provides easy access to the water and nearby wrecks but the current requires careful planning for navigation.

Nice dive spot,very interesting when the tides shift hanging on the rope like a flag.
Very cool spot ,I assume you went at slack tide its interesting when the water is moving and you hang on the rope going to the barge wreck
It is super cool!! We went before slack tide and used scooters to combat the current.
