What a great voice. The high notes and belting are awesome, but even better are the lower more subtle verses - not many people that age have that kind of character to their voice.

The lead is phenomenal!

believe the natural kinetic energy, of this cast at times felt chaotic and out of control I really like the directors mind their take on the parables were so good a few moments didn’t reach their intended emotional impact first all good gifts was weak had the young man in orange and the young lady who sang oh bless the lord should done it as a duet, that moment would have worked better the group version its narrative impact was lost. By my side , felt like an after thought having directed ensemble productions i know how group blocking can be muddy Jesus was almost to casual, to laidback, but his voice acting were spot on when I direct a production I am stealing the idea of pictionary but will do charades instead. If the actor whom played Jesus hasn’t played pippin he should I love shows, that break the fourth wall. this show was meant to do just that the director executed it perfectly the choreography moved the story masterfully even if at times it too was chaotic the chemistry among the actors felt like a group of friends got to get her to do a play the kid in orange made me think of jughead the entire show. I think trending was almost to casually staged

If anyone finds this video, as a Gen Z who’s 15 and in JV tech since it’s my first year in theater this is so terrible I’m not but I am sorry

What a GREAT production, even watching it now from 3000 miles and 9 years away! The direction, the lighting, the choreography, and the young actors were outstanding!!! Too bad the audio tech didn't get a credit -- excellent work! I picked this version from the UA-cam search to watch because it's the first (only?) one I found with the audio track being an audio board feed and not the typical awful camera mic at the back of the room. Thanks so much for knowing how to do proper audio! And with Sstereo ambience mics! 🙂 Props also to the camera op!

I listened to the Godspell recording which a girlfriend in High School played many times when we first met at her parents house. I knew it was from Broadway NYC but never gave that much of a thought. As with the years of High School and time passing the High School romance did not survive my first year of college which was a disaster when someone you love is still in High School and you are dealing with the first experience of college far and away. And yet this Godspell lives in my heart still to this day. Thank you for the great performance setting stage to the great music. I had just LEFT San Diego in 2015 when this performance was produced. Had I known I could have seen it live it would have been wonderful. San Diego has this alternate hippy vibe and I can see the perfect casting for Godspell revived in San Diego for sure.

I really enjoyed this production to begin with. I've seen 14 different live productions and always appreciate the magical prologue which is not always attempted by community theaters. I had to stop watching however when one of the scenes was devoted to Trump bashing. It defeats the purpose of the message of the play.
