How did you guys manage to get it working the displays are not synced when we tested it?
It isn't perfect by a long shot, but it's all there is..
Definitely on of the most scenic approaches! great video!
Yes, that was fun one. Thanks for commenting.....
Recently found your channel! I enjoy your VR content. Would you have some tips on how to setup VR streaming / recording? I m using a Quest 3 and been tinkering with OBS and the oculus mirror but my results are just okay. It seems I get better performance with Virtual Desktop on Wifi6 but in this case there is not an option for a mirror. Not sure what headset you are using but I’m curious to hear from you! Have a safe flight!
I appreciate your comment. I'm running the HP Reverb G2 with OBS. I only record, no live streaming for me. Too many things can go wrong... I use OBS with a plugin that's relatively new. I had heck coming from my previous headset (Valve Index) and getting the Reverb recordings as clear as I was with the Index. It seemed like forever until the plugin got released. I can't remember what it's called. I'll look it up and let you know. I don't know a thing about your headset. I know it can really be frustrating. I went several months discontented with my recordings. Now that I got it set up I just record, edit and post and not look back...
The plugin I use is called "openxr mirror capture"....
I dont know what im watching lol
This is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Being recorded in virtual reality using "Say Intentions" artificial intelligence software for air traffic control. This hobby has a huge following all over the world... Ha, Thanks for your comment...

Howto get another pad there?

Can I make a suggestion? Please put the addons your using in your video in the description. Like who made the Phenom? Pretty cool. Tha ks for sharing.
Nice Flight! Very Impressive. you make it look easy. Greetings from Germany ;) Edit: 1:09:20 was funny 😂 who would expect a jet parking there.
Thanks for the feedback.....It's a simplified aircraft, fun to fly.
You must have a nasa pc to play vr with such good fps! Cool video.
I9900k, RTX 2080ti. Running at 4.8ghz. On a HP reverb G2. Nothing special. I appreciate the comment
@@rfarley565656 How is the HP reverb? I have an old Rift S and I feel like the pixel density is holding back enjoying the in-game views
@@mosasa1307 I had the valve index, then went to the g2. The g2 has higher resolution, but smaller fov, smaller sweet spot and is a bit darker. The g2 is tolerable when set up properly. I'll be going to pimax when I'm forced too..
@@rfarley565656 Would you recommend the g2? I was thinking of upgrading to the quest 3 instead.
@@mosasa1307 I can't really, as I have never looked at the Quest 3. I can tell you the g2 is on it's way out. No more support and will be phased out. That's why I'm looking at the Crystal Light...At this point and time I recomend against the g2...
Have had a subscription for about a week and SI seems to work OK, but without any other aircraft being controlled in circuit, you can pretty much do what you like and there seem to be no reason for using ATC...Just my two cents. Look forward to having some controlled traffic, which I know is on the wish list.
Very helpful video. The fact that say intentions works in VR is a clincher for me.
Say Intentions is getting better and better. I appreciate your feedback...
@@rfarley565656The pleasure is entirely mine. Your video has persuaded me to bite the bullet and get SayIntentions. I am going to install it tomorrow.
How do you get the extra tablet on the right?
Saw other comment, disregard
How to explode 101, just light a cigarette it will be fine
How did you get the IPAD in your Plane. That would great to have.
flightsimulator.me/
Thanks for the vid. So Sayintentions has a VR window? I’ve not seen that. Only people using FS desktop to see it.
Yes it's had it since release. It's getting easier to dial in frequencies at hand offs without looking at it. I still need it for frequencies in range and who they are, and read backs....
Great to see SI being used for GA aircraft (and in VR too !) I'm using it for Airliners also in VR ...what a great program that keeps getting better !
I agree, it's like a real radio and to be able to speak naturally..
Great video. What is your control setup?
Puma pro flight trainer..
@@rfarley565656 very nice. I’m using the same. Your video has gotten me to redownload FS2020. Wasn’t able to get puma controls working last I tried.
Sensacional.
Fun video to watch, that AI stuff is incredible. Thought I’d let you know I got my masters degree a long time ago, from OU in Norman : ) That’s also where I got my IFR license at Westheimer. I don’t fly anymore IRL just on the sim! Funny my World Scale is 115, pretty close! For the turbine Duke, I tried your profiles value (Nm) for PITCH and ROLL + max speed 320 with exponential curve slider all the way to the right, feels really good. I did tune down turbulences, was too much for my liking! : )
Say Intentions really is bringing comms to a level not seen before and getting better by the week.. I signed up for a year, then they announced price drops are eminant. Go OU.... It's always nice to chat with RWP"s, I've learned so much from you guy's thinking outloud, so to speak. A buddy of mine, who is a retired commercial pilot and I are in the process of getting an Aerolite 103 into the air. We're about 4 months out on the project. What did you set your turbulence to? You would know more than I what feels closer to real...I'm willing to make adjustments. RWP's inputs are always valued. Thats all I have to go on..... Thanks for sharing.....
Hello, it's me again. Since I have the CLS-E Brunner yoke I can't access your profile on the BRUNNER profile cloud. Would you mind giving me the 9 Profile values (Nm) you have for the ROLL, I have the ones for the PITCH from your video, thanks!
I don't know why you can't access the cloud profile. I know it's kind of a pain to get logged into it. Once logged in you can tell cls2sim to access it automatically. Roll profile is as follows. Force Scale Factor Max. Speed 300 Use Exponential Curve. All the way to the right. Force Profile (NM) 1- 0.0008 2- 0.014 3- 0.0187 4- 0.0281 5- 0.0437 6- 0.0624 7- 0.0858 8- 0.1108 9- 0.1326 These NM values are a great starting place for All GA planes. Usually, I don't have to change them. I only have to raise or lower the Force Scale Factor Max. Speed to dial in a specific aircraft. Anyway, I hope this is what you need. I appreciate your input and comments.
@@rfarley565656 Yes, this is exactly what I need, thank you very much. I can access the profile cloud no problem, but it shows me the profiles that are only available and linked to the CLS-E MKII and not the CLS-E NG. So you don’t appear in the profile list I get from the BRUNNER profile cloud!
Great video, thanks for taking the time! I’ve had my BRUNNER yoke for almost three years now, still learning and updating profiles! : ) You’ve inspired me to go back to some settings, especially turbulences which I never used probably because never put the effort into trying to properly tweaking them. Will try your settings with the TBM850 from Black Square, amazing airplane. I feel my settings for axis range and force settings are in the same ball park with yours. Will have to correct maximal engine thrust, was doing it wrong as you explained! : ) I also just got the Turbine DUKE very recently, again from Black Square, another formidable airplane add-on. On a side note, I also got the BRUNNER stick recently since I fly gliders a lot in MSFS. I thought it was fine flying center stick with a yoke since in VR, I couldn’t have been more wrong, the difference in immersion was unbelievable when I switched to the BRUNNER stick positioned between my legs. I haven’t got the BRUNNER rudders yet, probably/hopefully next year. Anyway, thanks again for a great video, glad you shared your self taught knowledge!
Thanks for sharing. I'd love to get the stick, but I've got the Puma helicopter controls set up. I fly a few stick aircraft with them, but mainly helo's. I've terminated their anti-torque pedals and use the Brunner rudders in their place. I picked up the Duke package as well. I'm working on some profiles them. I may try to work on the special rudders settings, and try to figure that out also. I appreciate you taking the time to reply....
You can assign keys and hat switches on any controller to the drone cam. But the toolbar in VR only works in Cockpit mode (except for pause). You get in and out when in VR with the Insert key only (not End). The translation speed control is a little wanky when set up on two keys but it does work. It tends to over-ride so it is a pain in the ass at times. There are UA-cam videos for best key bindings. You can also take the drone inside the cockpit and it does bring up the toolbar if you do. But most times you go back to Cockpit mode to change the toolbar. Num 5 takes you back to the airplane but outside of it. Then hit Ins.
Great to see your video. It seems you are using Pilot2ATC with a copilot. I’m trying to using the All In One tablet with Pilot2ATC in VR without a copilot. It is very difficult to keep up with the radio changes especially without writing down instructions on paper. I dont want to lift the headset. Do you know if the tablet can work with a Wacom writing tablet?
I don't know anything about Wacom. Sky4sim has the ability to bring notifications (text) from p2atc into vr. It works well when flying single pilot. I have a couple of videos where I'm not using a copilot. I've been playing around with Say Intentions. AI looks like the way to go. Beyond ATC will probably be the winner...
I need to practice this. I can fly the crap out of the H160 but I crash all the time trying to land it.
What controls are you using?
I need to experiment with distances when recording in VR, on my video all you could see was the top of the dashboard and out the windscreen lol.
You can adjust the OBS capture window...
Sorry for all the questions but how do you capture your VR video with such smoothness and clarity. The Mixed reality portal for me is super choppy and jerky and not suitable for recording or streaming.
Yes, I went threw the same thing. I've been trying to get that for a long time. I ran across an overlooked video showing how to setup the plugin and it worked. I use OBS Studio with the Openxr plugin. github.com/Jabbah/OpenXR-Layer-OBSMirror
@@rfarley565656 So if I was running that Plugin I could stream to twitch for example in VR and people could see a decent quality image.
@@rfarley565656 Do you have discord? It would be cool to link up and do some VR flying together. I am an old vet, I served in the Army and Navy from 87-95.
@@rfarley565656 Sir, you are THE MAN, I got the plug in working and recorded my first video on OBS and it looks FANTASTIC, thank you so much!
@@Bellthorian That's awesome. Glad I could assist...
Also is that FLTPlan Go on a virtual tablet in the sim? If so PLEASE help me bring that into my VR experience.
The tablet in the upper right is called "All in one tablet". flightsimulator.me/ I like how it puts the Navigraph ingame panel into the table. It runs it's own server like Sky4sim does. The website instructions are in Spanish, just select translate webpage... The lower one is Fsdesktop.
So it is simbrief on the virtual tablet, I would love to know how to get it in the game. In VR you can get your airport diagrams, frequencies, etc in VR greatly improving immersion. To bad it doesn't connect to the tablet in the Helicopter.
It's the Navigraph ingame panel inside of the "All in one table". Plus it has several more semi useful apps as well.
@@rfarley565656 I need to check that out, I sub to Navigraph and Sim Brief.
All in one tablet is around $10usd. I like it because it makes navigraph appear cleaner in the tablet. Functionality is the same..
What VR headset are you using?
I'm running the HP Reverb G2 until it's goes obsolete. Then I'll be getting the Pimax Crystal.
@@rfarley565656 That is what I have, I am hoping there will be a workaround with Open XR taking over for Windows Mixed reality.
Me too, but plan B has me getting into the Pimax Crystal, unless things change when and if a change is required..
@@rfarley565656 I have to figure out what I am going to get. Aero has a new high end headset out there. I am open we can get one with OLED displays. Do you do any upscaling on your headset? I have been running my G2 at between 125 and 150% of its native resolution. That along with editing my User.cfg file and removing film grain has made the sim absolutely crystal clear, I am talking monitor levels of clarity.
@@Bellthorian I run OpenXR Toolkit. I've tweaked mine in overtime with several things. Too many to recall at the moment. Each system and user have to settle on what works best for them. I found youtuber FS2020'ers too be extremely helpful..In keeping up with the latest...
Nice job!
It's such a pity MSFS has a horrific heli flight model, gosh, thanks for the video.
First in the comments!
did you know the toilet flushes
I didn't realise that until I saw a review video showing that. Now I have to go load it up so I can flush it....Ha
What website did you pick the 100 up at and are you using VR cuz I noticed your head moves everywhere the camera goes I guess in the Lear jet you're talking about where did you pick that up at
Yes, I only fly/record in vr. I got the Pheom 100 from Simmarket.com. I got the Learjet 35a from Flysimware.com..
lol. Your walking intro reminded me of my VR stroll down to my ATR in the Azores. ua-cam.com/video/9ZdTn7CaB58/v-deo.htmlsi=w3yqfZgqvGYBO2_h Thanks for the video. You and I are tackling a lot of the same problems. Vr. Pilot2atc. Brunner FF.
Hello Rex. Thanks for video. At least the G1000 has keypad now. Ha! Can't imagine using G1000 in VR without it. Anyways, I don't know why anyone would fly a corporate in MSFS with G1000 when the G5000 is available with Longitude including AT, advance coupled vnav, nosewheel steer, Thrust rev. My favorite plane for VATSIM.
I Appreciate the comment. I like the smaller Phenom, as it has doors, chocks etc. Their both nice. Something about the 100 just feels right...
If you taxi with one engine, you won't need to break.
I know nothing about Phenoms, it does makes sense though. Is this a common practice in this aircraft?
Worst video ever. Shake the view some more so that viewers get a permanent headache.
I only fly/record in vr. It's a vr only channel. It's not for everyone...
Great video thank you. I wonder how do you walk outside the plane like that?
Thanks for watching. I use a pc game controller to operate the drone camera. I'm getting better...
@@rfarley565656 Ok thanks. I do the same and also only fly VR. : )
Hi what atc do you use?
I use Pilot2Atc..
which vr glasses do you use?
I used to run the Valve Index. I then upgraded to the HP Reverb G2. Since MS is dropping support for WMR, I'm planning on going to the Varjo Aero....
I fly to tul often in real world, and riverside. I keep a P337G @ Claremore just down the road ;).
Nice, I'm in Glenpool. I'm not a RWP. I've been simming for decades. I run Brunner yoke and rudders in VR only. I found a KTUL scenery a few weeks back, still waiting for a KRVS scenery. My buddy a retired RWP and I are in process of putting together an Aerolite 103....We just recently joined the local EAA chapter. We hope to start training with it next fall....
You have to turn off your engines to make the parking mode work.
Thanks for the tip....
How ya liking it?
I really like it, the analog instruments are a very nice change especially in the vr business jet category. It's fun to fly, a bit of learning curve to handle it properly, more of a hands on aircraft. No vnav flying with it. The autopilot is different, more challenging, I should say. It's got a few quirks as it's an early release but, they're committed to it. They did an awesome job on the 414. So I have all the confidence that the 35a is on it's way to being just as nice. If you follow them on Discord, you can get a real good idea of what's going on with it and the updates that are coming....
@@rfarley565656seems promising. Thanks for the response and the Video. I will definitely be getting it
Where is the co-pilot?
Pilot2atc, he is invisible....
very nice sight seing on top views over looking thanks for sharing my brother in laws cousin are you a pilot?
No I'm not a real pilot. I've been into flight simulation since the mid eighties. A buddy and I are building an ultralite aircraft..
Apart from this issue, do you recommend this yoke?
Yes I do, since the motor was replaced, I have not had a single issue. The rudder pedals are equally recommended as well. Brunner stood behind the yoke when I needed them too.
