My goodness what a devious man. He did not finish the verse to include ' whosoever ', shameful ! In the Lord's great commission the Lord Jesus instructed the Apostles to go into all the world, the global world and preach the Gospel. There is absolutely no reason to believe that the Lord was referring to the so-called elect but the man in this video somehow twists logical interpretation to suit his calvinist theology. I am a born again Christian not because I deem myself to be one of the 'chosen' ( nobody could ever be absolutely sure they were one of the chosen ), but I am a Christian because I am one of the 'whosoever' ! Calvinism makes the simple Gospel message into a theological minefield, misleading and deceiving, perhaps damning many.

You dont find election in John 3:16 or in John 3:14-15 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Just look to Jesus to be saved !

How ignorant you are about Derek Prince's life and teachings. He raised a multiracial family! And teaches truth without fear or favour!! He talks about the unique spiritual challenge of several races and nations, including his very own. In that same teaching, Derek Prince also spoke about the challenges that have bedevilled native Americans and in several other instances he has spoken in similar fashion about the English and Americans in general. Do you not know that demons can be territorial? The scriptures enjoin children of God to resist the devil and he would flee from them. Have you ever imagined what would happen to a child of God who is careless in this regard? The devil will flood that being with demons who will ultimately take over his household and his descendants, unless someone who walks in obedience of Christ and knows his authority in Christ, rises up to take back what belongs to them, their home or community or nation. This principle is universal as demons will dominate the life of whoever loses his guard and lets them in. Have you not read that "No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house." This insight to halting and recapturing what was lost to the usurper equally applies universally as it is true for the black, true for the brown and true for the white and any other person born of a woman. There is no Gospel so clearly predestinarian and particularistic as the 4th Gospel - quite brazen-faced that liberals and universalists could dare attempt to pervert what is on the surface of a knowledgeable reading of the text. There only is one Savior for one chosen people whom the Father gave to the Son before the world began - that people is drawn by grace from the whole world and not just the Jewish people. The point is both the bigness and the badness of the worldwide scope of the plan, but it is highly particularistic. Arminianism is incorrect and in error - the sad thing is that such brothers in sincerity will accuse men like Sproul of teaching a false Gospel. That any should be saved at all is an amazing divine gracious condescension. And yes - no other Savior. No Gospel! No hope! Why God so favored some with faithful preaching and not others is a mystery known only to Himself. But He will get eternal glory for it from men and angels.

This is taken out of a much longer sermon and avoids (or leaves out) the "who so ever believes". RC would never avoid that particular controversial part of John 3:16 in a sermon, or teaching session.

This man was a deceitful heretic, spouting calvinist lies and deception. He had the art of bamboozling people with his perceived superior theological knowledge. He bastardizes John 3 v 16 with his waffling from the Old Testament and never mentions the elements of the word 'whosoever'. According to him only the 'chosen' are saved but how can people know whether they are saved or not. As a born again Christian and Arminianist I know I am saved, not because I am one of the few chosen but rather one of the whosoever. This man was very toxic and sadly his influence still continues to this day to the detriment to the Christian faith. 'Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved !' This verse is the Gospel in a nutshell, very clear, simple and precise.

John 3 does not talk about election. Maybe you should stop reading things into the verse.

You can not avoid divine election and pre-destination. Its throughout the bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Those who struggle with election are either mislead and have not been discipled properly, or its pride and.or trying to humanize God

What Arminian thinks John 3:16 means universalism? Good gracious. Only a Calvinist can lie on their opponents so bad and only a Calvinist can make John 3:16 complicated enough that it requires special explanation. He loved the world. He sent His Son. If you believe in the Son, you're saved. It's not that complicated. 🙄

God didn't create certain human beings to be saved and others to be destroyed. If he did that he would be a respecter of people, which He clearly said He was not. Anyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ will be saved. This is God's plan of Salvation for all who believe in Christ. Not just for the elect.

Watch Sproul butcher this one with his evil calvinism. Sproul doesn't disappoint, he starts right in with his evil calvinist rhetoric to confuse people.

Even you RC don't seem to understand the verse either.

One of the key words to understanding John 3:16 is the small word "so". In John 3:16 the Greek word translated "so" is houtōs which is also translated "thus" or "in this manner". Try reading John 3:16 with either of these translations and you will see that the emphasis is not on "man" but on God.

Anykne with a brain can read this verse and should know that Christ is the only way.

If three people owe me money and I forgive one of them his debt, that doesn’t make me unfair. I don’t somehow “owe” the other two forgiveness too. It’s they who owe me, and they have no right to complain that I choose to forgive someone else.

God's love is "universally" offered to the world, but conditionally appropriated by individuals that hear God's call and therefore 'repent" (change their minds about everything), and in faith begin to trust Christ for their salvation..

Its also not a calvinist confirmation verse... It kills calvinism.. Every body can believe, and put there trust in Jesus, to be saved! Not calvinist doctrine this..🫡
