Catching fish while kite surfing
I had been kitesurfing at Currumbin on a surfboard in a south easterly for about 3 hours and the surf started to turn bad.Looked out, saw birds diving in the distance and had my fishing gear so I went in and got it.
Got this one after about 45 minutes trawling. Not much good for eating, I got this one in because I had cameras.
My best landed was a 155cm Spanish Mackerel on a surfboard.
Best caught but had to leave was a Wahoo. This is the one that got away.
It's teeth ended up going through the tendon on my thumb so I had to leave it out there go to hospital.

Riding a Bowhead reach in Nerang state forest MTB trails
Переглядів 367 місяців тому
This was my first ride on the Bowhead Reach. I went to Nerang forest the bike trails. It was wide enough for me to get along the track. I ended up on the side at the end. I didn't quite make the corner, didn't know how to ride the bike properly. It takes a bit to get used to how to handle the corners. My singing isn't going to improve though sorry.

I have been walking on the prosthetic since leaving hospital after a motorbike crash which nearly killed me in July 2020. After crashing and hitting a fence while riding like an idiot on the back wheel, fuel spilt on me which was ignited by the sparks I was lucky to come out alive. I want to share my story on how I lived my life with depression, resulting in trying to end it by catching fish wh...

You are really strong to surf back holding such a big fish. But congrats ive never seen this before.
Are you the first person to ever do this?
High possibility
what will happen if the number of people increases even more?
whats the humidity % in the wheat? Seems dry enough just to store.
I greet you as a farmer brother from Turkey. May your crops be fruitful.

Hey mate, there was 4000 acres in this field
@mattc091 dang looked amazing .keep it up.
@@ronron7187 Cheers
so Overwhelming... wow. god of food. god of land.
Hi there from Scotland, how many acres were there in that field, must have been quite a few hundred!
Hey mate, there was 4000 acres in this field
completely fake, planting time in Oz.
Not sure where you’re from but it’s harvest time here in Australia.
Middle of spring seems an odd time of the year for the southern hemisphere. What am I missing?
Because we grow our wheat over the winter. No snow. Sow wheat in may and harvest in November. But also. In north of Queensland they will star harvest of wheat August in southern Victoria they harvest in January. There’s not much 🌽 or soybean grown over here, to dry
@@wallaceoconnor5585 cheers for answering that
@@wallaceoconnor5585 Winter wheat in the UK is drilled in Sept/Oct and harvested in August. We don't get much snow here. Spring crops are drilled in March and harvested Aug/Sept. I just can't get my head around spring harvest.
@@markrskinner well we are upside down here you know.
How many acres has that Field ?
4000 Acres
where ?
Good 👍
Thank you for all the hard work you do!
Thanks mate
Amazing content! You always manage to keep things interesting and engaging. Can't wait for more! 👍
Thank you, I’ll do some again soon. Cheers
The crops look pretty awesome, above average yield for you? What do you seed with?
What kind of yield per acre or hectare do you get? Greetings from Poland
Podbijam pytanie😁. Też mnie to ciekawi. Pszenica niska i rzadka, za dużo raczej nie sypie. Tylko pola nieco większe niż u nas😂
Hey mate, around 2 tonne per acre
@@mattc091 = around 5 tonne per hectare. In Poland in my neighborhood around 8-11 tonne per hectare. Thanks for answer. Greetings from Poland.
None of those combines appear to have GPS fitted - not cutting the full width of the cutter bar which is wasteful, particularly at the scale being worked on here. The size of those fields is just wild - as far as one can see in any direction. Wonder what role the person on the quad bike is playing in the operation ?
They maybe running on 12m centres with different width cutter bars. the track seem pretty straight for no gps.
controlled traffic all gps
They are ran on GPS. There’s about 4000 acres on this area.
This is what's known as go big or go broke. American style farming.
Couldn't be more off the mark 😂
No this is Australia mate, work hard, play hard, never give up
@boikebeagle good on ya.
@@dazzfromaus4797 Ah, American way of thinking is ya meaning
What challenges do farmers face during the October wheat harvest in Australia, and how do they overcome them?
The scale you all operate at is impressive. Fields here in Northern California look like postage stamps compared to that. Thank you for all the work you do.
Hi there, thank you for your wonderful comment... Here in Western Australia were already underway with our harvesting season... Thanks to UA-cam we all get an opportunity to take a look at different farms throughout the world... Especially the fellow farmers there in the USA... You guys also do a great job... Stay safe ..🇭🇲💚💚💪🌽
I think these fields dwarf farms anywhere else apart from the odd place in Canada.
Cheers mate
