While this mic excels on normal conditions, it falls short on high gain guitar tone recording in my opinion; excessive mids, unadjustable extra mic gain, lacks of low frequencies sensing. In short, this mic is not suitable for this specific job.

This time I increased the volume of the amp a bit louder than previous time. Overall tone improved considerably; more note definition, more high frequencies audibility, brighter, more articulation, etc., while all other factors stayed the same. I didn’t quite understand why, but this time around I began to feel the potential of the Juggernaut 7.

Me trying to swap one of two Celestion V30 speakers in my ENGL 2x12 cab for a G12T-75. The new combination adds mids-highs to the tone and makes the sound livelier than the stock chug-oriented twin V30 in my opinion.

But how do you like the new one? Is it a versatile guitar where you can play heavy gain power chords and still play blues?
Hi. Many people asked me the same question too. And my thought is that the new Holcomb sounds more versatile/more forgiving/less focus on djent metal/etc. Such change in tone allows for better suitability to generic genre of music than the old one. You may use it for blues rock as well. However, to my ears, still can't compete with Gibsons and those equipped with genre-intended pickups like SD Pearly Gates and Jazz, sort of. If you're looking for modern playability with versatile brutality, I think it's worth to give it a try.

Damn... It looks like it is hard to get it quite even with that volume box in the loop. I can do that without much problem on my Bugera 6262 Infinium - 120W valve amp lol. Great playing man/
Yeah! And my experience is the same, most of my higher-wattage heads, be it ENGL Fireball 100, Mesa Triple Crown 50, Bogner Uberschall could do low volume settings nicely without needing a volume box in their loop while the MT ‘15’ can never achieve that. How funny! 😆
Could be really useful if we heard less acoustic and string noise sound...

ผมซื้อมาแล้วร้านเปลี่ยนสายเบอร์ 10 ให้มา แต่ใช้คันโยก สาย 4 มันไม่ยอมคืนตัวกลับ เศร้าเลยครับ รอลุ้นสายเบอร์ 9 ว่าจะโยกปกติมั้ย

@@murky9554 lol The stock ones on my guitar are Phase 3 locking (made by Gotoh) so there's no issues about them in terms of tuning stability. Thereasons I replaced them are vintage look and (probably) improved acoustic resonance a bit. I guess you're mentioning about the next version tuner - the tulip-shaped with bone-color buttons whom were made by Korean Jin Ho, right? I don't like those either lol.
@@moopanuwat2877 I am speaking about vintage non locking with plastic cream tulip buttons and brass posts. US made. They can’t handle much. In comparison with my 30yrs old Greco with vintage gotohs, which run smooth even with twelve gauge, sadly, no chance...
@@murky9554 Got it. If your guitar is a 594 like mine, the thing is those tuners are Korean-made. You can prove it by taking one out to see the logo underneath. However, you might try lubricating the nut. I think it should help too.

I like the PRS pickups more. I feel like they don’t overpower too much and sick back nice and chill and don’t go full metal. But for metal the Nazgûl wins for sure! I’m not a metal guy is all.

I was using only neck humbucker for the entire clip. It sounded so clear and defined as if it were in coil-split mode which I think very awesome, especially for a PRS in this price range. Cheers!

Dry sound of the strings is distracting
Last time I looked, No one expected to be able to hear the difference between tuners. Whats important is: Does the strings still stay in pitch, after an hour or two of bending stings and playing the guitar?
My battery died at the beginning of my 5 song set today in chuch?! I came here looking for answers, and I got them... BUT what a treat for my ears getting to hear those super tasty chops!!!! Thank you for both my friend.

How do you like this new Satin compared to SE CE24 Blood Orange you reviewed not so long ago? Can't decide between these two guitars, the price difference is very minor. Aside from exterior, have you noticed any other differences between the two guitars, playability, sound wise?

What you wonder is correct, their mounting holes are not retrofit at all. But the funny fact is that, the metal base plates (I don't know what to call this part correctly lol) are large enough to cover the mounting holes of stock SE tuners.

@@user-hs9jc5le7p ผมว่ามันคนละโทนครับ SE Myers จะออกอ้วนๆ หนาๆ เนื้อมาเต็ม คออ้วน แต่ SE CE นี่ออกเด้ง ใส สว่าง กระชับกว่า ซาวด์เยอะกว่า และคอบาง ถ้าให้แนะนำแบบรวบรัด SE CE 24 กว้างกว่าครับ แต่ก็แล้วแต่ชอบนะครับ ถ้าวันไหนของลงร้านครบก็ควรลองก่อนตัดสินใจครับ

เท่าที่ผมใช้มาสักเดือนนึง มันแทบไม่ต้องทำอะไรเลยครับ (ถ้าเป็น SE อินโดลอตแรกๆ ผมจะบอกให้เปลี่ยนนัท) แต่ถ้าคันมืออยากอัพ ส่วนตัวคิดว่าลูกบิดล็อกสาย เพื่อความสะดวกในการเปลี่ยนสายครับ

No, because I recorded this using only a camera mic so you're hearing purely 'room sound' which includes raw sting noise lol. I don't have digital recording rig at this moment though.
