My name is Josh and welcome to Life of a Camp Ranger! I maintain a summer camp in New England, I have been doing property maintenance for over 10 years. I want to show what happens at camp all year round not just in the summer when Summer Camp is running.

Tractor snowblower skid shoes replacement.
Where did you buy the shoes? Thx
I got them my local John Deere dealer.
It appears that you need to learn how to press properly. Your presses look bad
Whoever the amateur who did this propress job, he beat up the copper pipe and the propress clampings beyond belief. Never seen so many dents and deformations on the pipe and damaged fittings. Based on how it badly it looked, it is surprising you didn’t have a lot more leaks.
Thanks for your help brother!
sorry still cant see the point of press fit end feed no problem usually just curing a problem that doesn't exist
Is this a joke!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Someone dosent know how to pro press. I’ve only seen a couple leaks in 12 years
@jambatvee3803 "i just rent the tool when i need" this or "i made a 15 minute youtube video and 14 hours of labor and 75 fittings to make the leak stop" PlUmBiNg yAy
Looks like a frustrated sculptor went to plumbing school. Ever heard of PEX expansion?
All those joint, connectors and fittings is crazy. Couple of elbows and three pieces of flexible 3/4" copper and you'd be done. I've had flex copper on water tank inlets for a dozen years without issue.
Good video. You forgot the front two grease fittings tho!
I bought a used, older 580BTS years ago and thinking about getting a new one. I don’t use mine without having the hip/waist belt snug along with the shoulder straps. No movement of the blower while I have it on. I don’t see how it can be very secure without a waist belt. I tried it without the belt and the torque tended to push the blower at full throttle. This would make me stay with the Husqvarna over the Echo.
Lefty loosy / righty tighty 😅
Good looking faucet, good job! Thanks for sharing ! Have a safe and blessed day !
Make a video of this ice machine being cleaned. I have the same one. I’m just not used to the Scotsman.
Well I can tell you right now whoever installed the pro press didn't prep any of the pipe that's exactly why it leaked. I see it all the time. Lazy plumbers or new generation plumber who take to many short cuts.
What kind of mess is that
I've found that having both is the way to go. Echo has power vents in the back which use the blower to keep you cool. It's a game changer on long or hot days. Sadly, echos grips never ever stay in place and the gas tank sticks out way farther than it needs to. Very annoying when you dip behind a bush and smash someone's siding or downspout.
Same guy that installed all that... also puts his cruise control on, then falls asleep in the trailer thinking that how it works.
I admire his effort despite knowing little about plumbing, but I would be embarrassed to make such an atrocious video and posting it for the world to see. Most video’s of this type are made to educate a DIY individual on how to correctly fix or install something. Perhaps the video should have been named “How Not To Fix A Plumbing Problem”
Does this tractor call for 15w40? Would 5w40 be fine?
Yes it does, I think I've used a 0w40 for the winter before but I would check with John Deere before just to be sure it wont mess up your engine.
@@LifeofaCampRangergoogle says this tractor takes 10w30 so I used rotella t6 10w30
That tree around 09:13 looks like it could make a few pieces of 2x4 if you had a way to have it cut. Nice job taking it down.
I wish I had a saw mill, I could build so much stuff with the lumber! Maybe one day I will get one or I can rent or borrow one a couple times a year.
@@LifeofaCampRanger Do you have any mills near you? can get it taken to one?
@Michael2022 I will have to look into that.
Couple of bib trees cut down to 20 minutes is awesome. Lol. Good job ! Thanks for the video ! Have a blessed day !
I have a couple big trees that need to come down so hopefully I can do that in the next month or two.
@@LifeofaCampRanger Thanks, looking forward to it !
Your Mom would appreciate short, detailed videos of cutting techniques for various situations. The # of times my saw has gotten pinched is not funny!
I would check out Buckin' Billy Ray Smith channel because he does a lot of technique videos.
Your nephew loves his superhero uncle that can do stuff so fast and to music that he can dance to.
Seems like the shape is more complicated than it needs to be
It definitely be could be a simpler set up but I was on a time crunch so I copied what was already there. I might go back and replace it with pex one day.
That 100% would have been a 10-minute horizontal install for any of my Techs.
I have no doubt but I couldn't get a plumber out in time before the building was going to be in use.
How'd this turnout?
This was abandoned after our boss left because we just didn't have time and it was taking way to long. The new plan is to cut a new trail where there isn't a swamp.
I had the first Husqvarna 580BTS model (not Mark II or III) and still have the Echo PB8010T. I sold my 580 to my cousin 2 years ago when I bought the Stihl BR800C for his part time tree service. Great blower and still running great even though he leaves it in his truck bed and it is severely sun faded now. I imagine it will not last if he keeps doing this. I prefer the Echo and the Stihl over the model 580BTS I had. The Echo definitely blows more leaves faster. The Stihl with its high air speed and lighter weight is nice for harder to remove debris.
I would like to try the Stihl to compare it to the Echo and Husky but I feel like they are all very similar. Hopefully I can get a side by side comparison of the Husky and Echo to really see if there is a differance.
@@LifeofaCampRanger the Stihl is nice for it’s weight, adjustable chute (allows for a very wide blowing pattern when retracted) and the side start. I think other than curiosity there is no reason anyone would buy the Stihl over the two you have.
@@Brian-Outdoors Thats good to know for the future. If I have the opportunity to try the sthil I will.
Wow , the camp it washing away! You have a big job in front of you to fill in the holes. Good job! Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed day! Keep us posted on the progress !
I had a load of gravel delivered and I have a local guy with a tractor to do the bulk of the repairs.
The funny thing is it's the middle of September now and it hasn't rained in several weeks and watching your video now and it's raining. Now that's funny right there. Good job young man.
Its been a busy summer, I cant believe its already October!
Stick to landscaping, you suck!
thanks for the demo. Showing us what it ACTUALLY looks like blowing leaves means a lot!
Glad you liked it!
I'm a Husky person when it comes to backpack blowers. Ive had them all, and like everything about a Husky better, most importantly the durability. They have outlasted all my other ones over the years. Not to mention, I love their style. I also never use all of the blower tube extensions. I leave the middle one out. The only downside is they're the loudest out there but my earmuffs fix that so not a big deal.
I am a fan of the Husky but I also like the Echo, I would buy the Husky again without even thinking about it because I cant tell the difference between the two. Always wear headphones with tunes to pass the time.
Ugliest connection I've ever seen. Pex can be a better option in this situation.
I plan to use pex in the future.
It's still righty tighty lefty loosy for the blades? I thought it would be the opposite...
All of the mowers I've ever worked on have been righty tighty lefty loosy.
I was concerned for your safety cutting down that tree. Good job, stay safe out there ! Have a blessed day !
I was only concerned for a second but thats why I stood behind the big tree!
Nice work on getting that cleaned up.
Thanks for showing even a professional makes mistakes, and overcomes them even if you loose money on this job….
I didn't do the original install and the "Plumber" that did the original work went out of business shortly after they finished this job. I'm just a guy that had to fix it on a time crunch.
I’m in Calif Coast and Sierra Mountains. I never had any trouble with propress and Pex A …. Pex A is good in extreme temps cause of expansion abilities. I use Vega brand….
I am looking at switching to pex for the repairs that I do around here because it will be faster and easier to work with.
PEX A saves a ton of time money and bs in this situation.
Cant beat a Husky...
Why do all the Husqvarna say 220 mph speed from small to bigger ones
It must have something to do with the diameter of the pipe?
That's just how fast the air is coming out of the pipe. What you go by is the CFM rating , which is how much air is coming out of the pipe. MPH means nothing really.
I’m no plumber but at the 1:20 mark, seeing that monstrosity of propress system no wonder it leaked. Fewer is better. Clean up your angles. Damn! 😂 To add. I love propress for what I’ve used it for so far. But jeez, that set up gives propress a bad name.
If I had the time to rebuild the whole thing I would have but I was in a rush so the easier thing for me was to just copy the disaster that was already there. I don't hate prepress the tool is just to expensive for non plumbers and if its done improperly it sucks to fix.
Thanks for the video! Do you also sell this table if i ordered one?
I don't sell the tables I just made them for work.
Good job
Thanks
Excellent
Great work! Just got my DR 26 & can't wait to get started using it.
