The Shanishchara Mandir in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, is one of the most revered temples dedicated to Shani Dev, the Hindu god of justice and karma. Situated on the Shanishchara hill in the Aeti (Aanti) village near Morena, this temple holds significant historical, spiritual, and mythological importance.
Significance:
1. Discovery of the Idol:
• According to legend, the idol of Shani Dev housed in the temple is ancient and is believed to have been cast from the remains of Samudra Manthan (the churning of the cosmic ocean). The idol is made of a combination of iron and stone, symbolizing Shani Dev’s association with Saturn.
2. Connection with Ramayana:
• It is said that the idol of Shani Dev was installed at this location by Lord Hanuman during the Treta Yuga (the era of Lord Rama). Hanuman is known as a devoted follower of Shani Dev and played a role in alleviating the malefic effects of Saturn.
3. Role in Astrology:
• Shanishchara Mandir is considered a sacred site for those affected by Shani doshas (astrological afflictions caused by Saturn). It is believed that praying here helps mitigate the adverse effects of Sade Sati or Shani Mahadasha.

The Shanishchara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shani Dev, is situated near Ainti village in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, India. The temple is located on Shani Parvat (Shani Hill), approximately 25 kilometers north of Gwalior and about 35 kilometers southeast of Morena. 
Geographical Coordinates: The temple’s approximate coordinates are 26.365°N latitude and 78.202°E longitude.
Accessibility:
• By Air: The nearest airport is Gwalior Airport, located about 30 kilometers from Morena. 
• By Train: The closest railway station is Morena Railway Station. From there, one can hire local transport to reach the temple. 
• By Road: The temple is accessible via road from both Gwalior and Morena. Regular bus services and private taxis are available from these cities to the temple.
