Fire | The Lightwood Family
"we're Lightwoods, we break noses and accept the consequences"

An homage to my favourite Shadowhunter family, I tried to have quite a few consecutive themes going on. I fan-casted Crystal Reed as Maryse, but is you'd prefer I thought she also could work as just any Lightwood woman.
0:02 - a common theme with the Lightwoods seems to be the sins of the father/mother
0:06 - "of all the people who have fought for our cause we were amongst the bravest, the best of the Shadowhunter's"
0:11 - this was sort of meant to be like Izzy, and then all the people who walked before her (I see the clip of the two men walking right after the clip of Izzy as Gabriel and Gideon)
0:13 - Maryse and Robert's exile to New York
0:15 - the quote is from Infernal Devices from one of the brothers, but the implications it has about the importance of family is one that really echo's for generations, especially with Jace, Izzy and Alec
0:40 - Crystal Reed is Maryse here, I think the idea of protecting those who cannot protect themselves is one the Lightwoods (and the Nephilim as a whole) try to emulate but the fail to go about it in the correct away (allowing their actions to be marred by their prejudice), especially the Circle

@they_love_mkenzie dont watch the final season then. they were actually kind of cute. i loved jugjead with betty but the writers ruined it with the whole sharing a brother, but not related, but sharing a brother plot. that stuff skeeves me out so hard plus V and J clashing over the catcher and the rye with witty literary opinions was kind of hot
