"What a soothing voice and such meaningful content! 🕉 [01:57] feels like a personal message. Amazing work! 🌻"
That was not cultural 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ now I’m listening to the guy. I find it really sad that people want to take the Bible and fit it into their today. God is the same yesterday today and always not only do they warn us to not conform to the things of this world, but yet we do and then say this is from back in the day and yes, we have lost respect for the house of God Christ being a covering for Over the man is not a cultural thing that will never change. Paul was breaking their culture because they would wear hats on their hats, those little hats that Jewish people wear and women ought to be covering their head if they’re praying or prophesy, but that’s a whole another story nobody wants to honor that nowadays. It’s not a salvation issue, but it definitely is a respect thing.
mam. Clearly. Don’t read your Bible. You know I don’t wanna seem disrespectful but if you’re gonna be talking about the Bible, you have to know what the Bible says and first Corinthians chapter 11 clearly tells the man that if he is praying or prophecy, he should not have his head covered so there is a place in the Bible that tells you something plus out of respect you should take your hats off if you do it for the president if you do it for the flag, you should do it for the Lord . If some one does not know that’s fine. They should be able to learn from others examples.
This is not about the kid in the hat this is about whether or not it’s in the Bible…. No one should treat somebody like that, but you still can’t take away what the Bible says just because a kid got treated that way. And that’s not a man-made tradition 🤦🏽♀️
Thank you for this
"Incredible! The effort put into this is visible! 👏 Want more? Click on [time] in the description and keep watching! ⏰"
I hate jesus he RUINED MY life
😂
❤I’m in love you 2 have just normalized life again 🎉I appreciate yall. Thank you!
Love the conversation ✨ So insightful
"Wow, this part at 5:30 really touched my heart ❤. Highly recommend watching it, you'll learn so much! 🔥"
"Such a great video! Keep up the good work, I'm learning a lot! 🙌🌟"
I've watched all 31! ❤
Depends on how you look at it. In Judaism, it's disrespectful and irreverent to go to synagogue without your head covered... both places worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Women with head coverings = good Men with head coverings= not good
"Head coverings" in that passage seem to be figurative. Ill have to look more into it contextually
There is so much said about marriage in the modern church that is just flat wrong. We shoe horn modern feminism into the Bible.
Thank you for providing such transparency. It offers a clearer understanding and allows me to articulate to myself, or even to someone else, the importance of not just muscling through pain to avoid appearing weak. Instead, it suggests that I might consider talking to someone about it rather than just masking the pain. 🎉 You 2 are incredible leaders , wonderful examples ❤ God bless y’all. I’m thankful.
Pride cometh before the fall wasn’t it LeBron who called himself the goat? As Michael Jordan always deferred the question to his predecessors and his respect for them. In the eyes of God LeBron, the goat? The man who dressed up like a woman on recorded television? The man who endorses for Evil politicians? And lies for the media?
This is nonsense
I really enjoyed this episode guys :)
Preach!!!!
There are areas where God limits what Caesar can require of a Christian. The Sanhedrin strayed into just such an area when they commanded the apostles to stop preaching about Jesus. Hence, the apostles correctly responded: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.”-Acts 5:28
Why can't I say fuck Caesar and give it all to God
I think that’s the same Ryan that welcome us on our first visit and my husband and I were captivated by his kindness
I can’t tell you how timely this episode was for me 🙏thank you for your candor and wisdom ✅
If we do not transform our pain, we will most assuredly transmit it. 🫨🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 that segment was DEEP!
Pastor Greg & Shaylyn, I have listened to so many of your episodes & sermons, y’all have changed my life for the better! I have been a Christian since I was little but in the past 2 years of my life, I have strayed way too far from our Lord & Savior, so I want to thank you so much for spreading God’s word!!! I will always put God as my number one priority in my life & decisions! May God Bless You & Your Family Lives!!!!❤
Great conversation!
embracing uncertainty = MATURITY! good stuff!!!
I'd listen to your cousin's podcast!
Good STUFF!!!
Love this
I specifically remember Greg singing along to John Deere Green with Kim and I many years ago. You DID like country music back then! 😂 or so I thought 😮
To the world they may be the goat but not to God. Why will someone who's Great want to be called a goat at least be called a lion. Anyways both players are not serving God, nor sharing the gospel. Someone may be great, n friendly but they can still reject and mock our God Jesus, LeBron does that. Satan can present himself as an angel of light but deep down have evil intentions and hate Jesus. Micheal Jordan may be rude and take things personal but at least his honest andnot hiding it. But at the end of the day both players are being idols by so many people which are leading people away from God. We need to preach the truth gospel, no more of entertainment.
Nope, they hate Jesus. Jesus even says so in scripture multiple times. What you’re preaching is called arrogance. The “I know better than God” gospel.
Sooooo gooood!!!!! And this is why one church has been a place we feel safe attending, we feel supported, and it feels like what church should be like. 🥹♥️ thank you for cultivating that!
Sorry but this is the real world and none of what you just said applies
Thank you Pastor GREG, Instagram Pastors and Bible Teachers are running riot this year judging heavily as if JESUS never taught about the log and the plank. Bless All x!
Stop spreading your hate
You people are insels
Mythology is weird
B.I.B.L.E= Basic information before leaving Earth
Its not 66 books its more than that. You protestants took books out.
And Evangelicals like this get mad at members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for saying thebible is only the word of God if translated correctly. Double standard much.
How is different interpretation different from cherry-picking? Bad writing leads to poor interpretation to. Why should something that can be interpretated so many different ways be a guide? If you have a map you don't want a road that leads off a cliff. I'm just saying the logic of these word is wildly bad.
Facts. Plus, according to what the church teaches, every word in the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and thus contains no inaccuracy. By this logic, if what’s in the Bible is completely accurate, then it should be interpreted exactly as it was intended to be written, otherwise you’re bending the words. Therefore the argument of this guy is just wrong.
Yes, the Holy Spirit brought back to their remembrance the teachings of Jesus. But you are mistaken to think that they messed up. Any mistakes that you are talking about or variations are from copies. In the manuscripts, there are translation or spelling/ grammar errors. so it’s not that the original documents differ. But that some people copied them incorrectly.. but I don’t know what people want us to do about that. They are little mistakes that don’t change the meaning at all. For example some of the manuscript they say” the the lord” instead of” the lord. This is counted as a whole different Manprit, so it appears like we have tons.. We could throw all the versions that’s not perfect away but you know that people are going to want to see them or they’ll say we are hiding the truth. But if we keep all the copies, whether some mistakes or not people say we got too many versions. So it’s really no winning with you people. If you ask me, I’d rather have all documents mistakes or no mistakes. So we can compare and contrast instead of burning any type of variation. Always remember, though it’s more evidence, about Jesus, than all the ancient philosophers!
Amen ❤
Man I’m so happy this pod is back! I look forward to listening every week
Same!!!!! 🎉🎉
