60 Second Zoology - Snow Hares And Bergmann's Rule
Snow hares are a great study subject for scientists interested in geographical variation among members of the same species - Karl Bergmann proposed a pretty cool theory which scientists tested out in the 1970s.

Greenland Part I : packing for a wilderness expedition
Переглядів 2592 роки тому
packing for a wild camping trip is no joke, this video may be a bit long but if you are packing for a similar trip I hope you find it useful. The following Greenland videos are going to be from the exped itself, following my diary and sharing what this experience was like. A little teaser... it was very cool 🫣
Formula 1 X Zeiss SFLs?!
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
As a lover of Formula 1 it was so much fun to try out the new Zeiss SFLs at the British Grand Prix qualifying day 2022. The bins brought us so much closer to the action and were nice and light too :)

You Beautiful👱🏻♀️
Hey i'm reading Atomic Habits, and it mentions Niko Tinbergen's experiment with the red dot and birds. I found it fascinating that you're discussing the same concept here. Thanks !
Thanks !
I mean… for the price of the binoculars I could get a paddock pass 😅
Clear. Thanks.
I’m scared of seagulls. This is seagulls on steroids
i know they're aggressive, but I just love how they resemble a dodo.
Lovely!
Super review! Really inspirational and well made. Greetings from a new subscriber in Sweden
which 8x20 model has an image without shaking, a stable image! mostly small binoculars shake, what is the Nikon 6x15micron like?
Hey baby I love you are you still a virgin girl are you still single
Is there a difference between the uropygial gland of penguins and other birds ?
I wonder how much influence the dorsal fins had in the development of modern day airplanes. makes me wonder if we are swimming in air rather than flying in it when we get on an airplane
That look like a albatross
Quick and easy explanation thank you
I love you strange girl,you are a cute angel🩷🩵
Mujhe ye wali bird shaiye reply me
I very extensively compared all the A brand 8x25 binoculairs and in my opinion the Zeiss Victory Pocket 8x25 is the best binoculairs in this size money can buy. So I bought them, they are absolutely fantastic!
8magine all the razorbills in the back
Always learning something new.
Hi Amy, how you doing? What happened with your Twitter account? I hope you are doing good.
Interesting stuff!
Always learning something with you. Thanks!
Another great 60 second Margo… btw… why only males affected by abnormalities?
The male dorsal fins are larger than females so I guess more prone to abnormalities, but I don't think anyone knows for sure!
Great!
Glad I could get my little fact of the day in
Great stuff Very interesting!
thank you!!
Loving these videos!
60 seconds are back!🙂
Hi Amy. Beautiful video. Was that a kind of Wagtail or Lark at 2:31🤔? And where are polar bears?
I have Leica Trinovid(newest model) 8x20 and astounded by what can be achieved in small form factor. FB marketplace for £58 inc post, absurd lucky deal. I’ve found with binos it’s a good idea to use a monopod, even low power as it gives another point of “steadiness”. Monopods are so handy to carry on a walk as well.
Did also mean to say good review but with optics seeing is often believing. If you ever get chance to use Zeiss 20x60s do a review on them, very cool mechanical image stabilisation.
Pirates of the Caribbean
So cool!
I had these and really liked them! My girlfirend who also enjoys nature with me, liked them too. So I gave them to her 😊. I have a few other binos in different sizes so I'll survive. Thanks for the review!
I really love your videos
New Zealand is indeed one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The best thing here is that the heart of the people here is very big, the people here are very nice people of very calm nature. If I get a chance in future, I would definitely like to come to New Zealand once in my life and if I get a chance, I would like to spend the rest of my life there. ❤🇳🇿
This was such an interesting and well edited VLOG - well done Amy!
How I miss these days before an expedition. It is so exciting.
Nice video Amy, I havent done any ice cold expeditions, but will look forward to see how this gear holds up out there! Looks pretty solid. Balaclava is underrated, it should help out heaps!
hey, thank you! Yeah the following videos will reveal all haha :)
I really like this kind of video😊
What’s drive to survive ?
nice could u explain abt the water vascular system 🙂
Hi Amy. I have numerous binoculars. I have these Victory Pocket that i love but they lacking of contrast. This kack of contrast soletiles is great because it gives an impression of brightness but in all cases, they are really sharp. The victory SF is much better but they cost 2200 euros. If you want to try the best pairs, the 1st one is the Swarovski NL pure, then swarovski EL or Victory SF, and the Leica Noctivid. I have also the GPO HD and they are very good for the price. You should also try the mid size models in 30/32mm. I bought the new Nikon Monarch M7 for 330 euros and they are impressives, you should try it. Good continuation Amy.
Can you make a video about your Harris Hawk?
I understand how difficult it can be when you are in the field and practically you have on shoulders all your equipment and you need a light binocular and with a bright image. Loved your review.
Thanks Mayron, yes a pair of bins that are light and bright are all you need 😄
I miss your 60 seconds, Amy🥺
working on some new ones! :)
Oh wow. That's awesome. I'll be waiting. Thank you for effort 🤗🤗
They are lovely creatures ... and food for glowworm larvae. So I really appreciate them!
Dragonflies are my favourite insects! Subscribed!
I enjoy viewing your vlogs! This seems to be your last vlog or do you have a new one?
I am hoping to get some new videos out soon!
That is fascinating. I have chickens and I see them going to their lower backs and then back into their bigger feathers to preen. I didn't realize at first that they were getting oils from this gland but now that I know more about it, I want to go look at the size of my two roosters preening/oil gland! HAHA!
I love these. Please come back and make more
Working on it :)
