I just wanted to say thanks for looking at my azban discard deck it was fun to hear your thoughts. I do agree about the shandalar being clunky on turn but i do really like the aspect that its ao much more difficult for an opponent to have an answer for as a usual permanent. And the pixie being able to pick it or eldraine back up can be sweet. Definitely can be killed by graveyard hate which BO1 doesnt do a great job against. Really enjoyed the pictures at the end also thanks!

so, the thing is at knife point does Not want to be a combo piece she has a hard once per turn so you can't really go on a crime spree and make an army of criminals which sucks because red and Rakdos especially love taking big explosive turns, not to say she's bad but the first strike on all outlaws is definitely the main draw

I finally made it to Diamond today. For the first time in my life🎉 Tough battles. TOUGH BATTLES! 🥵 In the end, I broke into there with monored🔴🔥 On turn three from my Picnic Ruiner Azorius Control took 18 damage and that was a good school for him. A beautiful and quick end to the picnic. (probably forgot counterspells at home)

I was deciding between making the mono blue tempo deck or the mono red prowess deck as my first deck. I chose to go with mono red as it was more rotation proof. I hope some new blue cards come out here soon and revive the mono blue space

The budget mono blue tempo deck is a deck I’ll actually miss after rotation. It can really steal some impressive wins against the meta.

New suscriber :D I just started to play MTG Arena 2 or 3 weeks ago, i´m little bit confused, you say to wait a month because the rotation, but i think MTG release a note in the blog that say "Standard will not rotate" or something like that. Can you please confirm? Because i have enough wildcards to make one of these decks, should i spend it? Many thanks!

Thanks for the review! I did some simulated drafts and the set feels somewhat low power. There is the specter of a red tempo deck topping off with the 5/5 trample haste boar and the lizard that steals a unit, but I feel like it would be difficult to put that together in any competent table since the picks are very contested. The white red rabbit deck is the other tempo shell in the format, but I feel like the life damage per mana is not quite there in a set with plenty of chump blockers and life gain. My expectation is for a grindy format, and I am expecting green to perform really well not just because they have some of the best power per card, but also because their good fixing means you can splash removal / bombs you get passed.

Are classes just permanents out on the battlefield or do they need to attach to a creature?

I have no idea how this deck could get mythic with %60 win rate. I tried playing this deck a bit when you first showed it earlier because it looked interesting on paper. Against aggro it’s too slow. Against midrange it has no interaction. And against control it’s dead in the water after one board wipe since it takes like at least 3 turns to create a strong board state. I must be missing something because after about a dozen games I feel like this deck would struggle to get out of gold. Bummer because the individual cards in it are cool.

I think you definitely got some bad draws never getting the vial smasher. I have seen versions of decks with that card that can dish out some damage but I definitely would want something like bloodletter at the top end to double up those little 1 ping damage

I don't usually play Limited. I'm FTP, and I dedicate myself to mostly Orzhov. But I just might start pushing myself to play this set Limited. This looks a lot like the environment I want to play in. Cute critters and creature types matter.
