Fabric Arts Festival 2023
Fabric Arts Festival is a celebration of art,
music, community, and the city of Fall River,
Massachusetts. It aims to be a platform for
artistic creation through a multidisciplinary
contemporary program that seeks to create
a cultural and communal experience.
The 4th edition continues on a
path of articulation and collaboration between local
agents (artists, spaces, companies, institutions)
and the artists/collectives invited by the Festival,
through multiple types of encounters. In 2023,
Fabric proposed a program with contemporary
Portuguese, North American and international
artists, presenting projects in visual arts, music,
conversations, dinners and workshops. The program extended across
the region and occupied multiple spaces in Fall River, Providence and New Bedford, including
factories, schools, artists’ ateliers, and spaces of
Portuguese culture, all with an offering of new
visions and perspectives on ways to occupy them.

Using fado as a versatile tool, Fado Bicha gives voice to the LGBTI community's narratives in Portugal. It is a political ...

Fabric Arts Festival 2020 presents LAVOISIER

Lavoisier is a Portuguese couple influenced by each other and the whole world of sensations that music can bring along. While sharing the same spirit of the Tropicalistas, Michel Giacometti, and Fer...

Ok, all people plays Fado in this instrument, wich it's allright to do and to care for traditions, but I found that, even if you don't like how this music feels, it's a very interesting exploration of how can this fascinating instrument sound. Thank you Ricardo for daring to play such uncomfortable and intense music!
