A PIECE OF 40X40 BOX SECTION ALLY BOLTED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SHIFTER (X2 ACCESS HOLES ON THE UNDERSIDE) THEN USED RIVNUTS EITHER END OF THE BOX SECTION TO THEN ATTACH IT TO NORMAL 90 DEG BRACKETS AND 40 X40 EXTRUSSION SAME AS USED ON OTHER PARTS OF MY RIG.

You can't compare the Aiologs to this shifter, I have owned the Aiologs and loved it unfortunately, I sold my rig a couple of years ago. I now have the Simjack and it is a great shifter for what you pay for it, The Aiologs here in New Zealand retails for over 500 nzd, I purchased my Simjack in China for just under 100 nzd. Cheers

Hi there, no its more like if you dont fully allow it back to zero before you re-push it then it doesnt register, under normal gaming given you are not rapidly downshifting many gears at a time it has been fine, only when i say crash and rapidly need to get from 4th to reverse....you cannot do a push then partially let it come back before re-pushing, has to 100% zero each time for each downshift or upshift

Looks like the game just has a huge delay between shifts

Hi Bro, I am interested to see well hear what work yours needed, as I make a further video to cover issues others have found if any. I think luckily its so simple not alot can be wrong, and even if there are issues then easily fixed, so yes for the cost good quality for the money even if small niggly issues are present.

@@stagracesims6502 had to put 2 mm plastic washers on both sides to avoid the lateral play. Also a good idea from you to grease it. I opted for chain spray from my bike on every movible part !!! And now works perfectly. The spongy feel is gone too. Working on a new video comparing simjack against the cheapest magnetic and the simsonn with long lever.

@@joseppc6802 Ah right so i am curious then, did yours indeed have x2 black bushings either side to begin with as i predicted it should (you then took up remaining tolerance with plastic shims)

@@stagracesims6502 There was 2 black thick washers on one side and only one at the other. I thought that was the reason of the lateral play but with the s2mm shim on either side now is correctly aligned and with absolutely zero play.

Hi Buddy, glad the review was useful for you, think it would be worth stripping it down before you use it to make sure you don't have the same issue, incidentally if you do let me know and i will make another video to cover this issue. I know the magnet one you mean I also didn't like the look of this seemed to flimsy to me and yes as you say loud, i prefer the idea of mechanical inter locks or features to those of magnetic ones.

​@@stagracesims6502 Mine just arrived today, tons of play in the shaft and I discovered the same thing, the bearing was unseated on one side, though actually missing both bushings on that side. I tried some nylon bushings I knew I had in the shop, but they didn't fit. So I will have to look through some bins later and hope I have what's needed. I'm going to contact them though, as this seems to be nearly, if not every one they ship. They obviously have an issue in their production line. I'm still glad to have discovered your video, though. Will be great once I get it back together.

​@@stagracesims6502 I hadn't opened it up completely before, but once I did I found I had just one bushing in the entire thing and I couldn't find anything on hand to replace them. I messaged Simjack on AliExpress and long story short, I was told that they are a small business, still ramping up and working through getting the production process perfected. They offered me a discount for the trouble and will be sending me the missing parts as well. Saves me a trip to the hardware store. Whoever I spoke to seemed quite knowledgeable with the interior of the products, likely not just a customer service rep. So I suspect that the issue was taken seriously.

Hi Thomas, thanks for feedback and subscription, i suspect mine was a one off factory error, stuff like this happens, if it seems like it is sticking then yeah check it, or take the side off any way o have a look cant hurt.

Yeah you get hot and sweat...just like a real driver, my dad used to race and he used to be soaking wet after wards :)

He He Hi Dermot love it, normally in real life yes I drive a manual car but at present I dont have a sequential shifter, only built my Rig about a month or so ago and still getting used to it versus real driving. Once I get my triple screens then I will get a shifter as I prefer this to paddles , amusingly though this evening I started using paddles to try to get used to them. I also use auto while I am getting used to a track, if you can nail a pack in auto then once I get used to paddles then will be twice as easy with proper engine braking. :)

I will be doing a video of my Rig maybe next week and then about design options (I am a design engineer) so keep your eye out, after this I will start reviewing what equipment I already have for the benefit of people getting into it.
