@@TRPtacek I summoned the mimic, my actions directly result in the damage it does. Why is that not “an attack”? What about spells? They do damage. They’re not me. Projectiles, again, not technically me. But I bet you’d still be complaining if I’d used those. Your argument is just semantics. Also, if you’re here from reddit, I listed the specific rules I set myself for the run, which I abided by. And yet here you still are, being pedantic. So, what is it that you’re actually trying to achieve?

@@firthy123 I genuinely hope your day gets better. I'm not trying to achieve anything. The aggressive nature you think my comments have had, is in your head. Summons are a concession an overwhelming percentage of people would allow, while everything else isn't. That's the reason you didn't use any of those after all, right? So what makes the active use of that armor not fit right in line with the other things you've listed? Might have been able to convince me if you simply had the armor on and the enemies "hit" themselves on you. It'd be an extremely liberal intrepretation, but least it isn't you directly, again, throwing yourself into the enemy. You completed it by your own arbitrary standard, so congratulations. You definitely claimed no damage, so I'm not being pedantic for pointing it out, despite you saying you didn't and then trying to circumvent that you actually did. Good luck out there, King.

This is my favourite build for fighting him, with a legendary catalyst mod: bl2skills.com/patch/mechromancer.html#555150000551550005100510415003151010 It's not the one I'm using in the video as that was the first time I beat him, but on subsequent runs I've found the one in the link much better. If you run basic anarchy and then focus on the DOT skills in the Little Big Trouble tree you can stop his healing much easier.

If you do enough damage to the critical spot on the back of his head, he will open up and let you hit the crit spot inside his mouth for huge damage. If you can make him do this you can usually deplete his entire health bar in one go. I worked out roughly how many shots with my Sandhawk was needed to do this and jumped up to the ledge at the start to get him close to opening. Then I jumped down and tried to get the last bit of damage off using the Conference Call bullet spread (this is somewhat inconsistent and can take a while to do). If you're trying to do this on Gaige, the close enough skill helps alot.

In this one I used two Conference Calls (one slag, one normal) for DPS, a Fibber for killing adds and a Grog Nozzle for healing/health gating. Shield was a Bee Shield, class mod was a legendary Anarchist (although I've subsequnetly found a Legendary Catalyst is better), relic was a crappy blue that gave some extra shotgun damage.

I ran a pretty basic anarchy tree, with heavy investment in the LBT tree and the legendary catalyst mod, for the DOT skills. I found these really helped with preventing his healing. If you hit him with a status effect whilst he's rushing around then he stops the regen. So I was spamming the conference call up in the air and hoping for a lucky hit. I think you need to hit him with one each time he appears, but I'm not certain.

That's true, if you hit it every time he shows up, it won't regen.
