Thank you very much for this lecture series. As a current student of Criminal Justice and Criminal Law, I chose IHRL as an elective module. I was beginning to regret it since there aren’t many lectures on it, and we aren’t allowed to record the class. The terms used, apparently, dumbfound me. It’s almost like a separate language. I’m very grateful to you sir.
Have you read 180 by feargus O'Connor greenwood
Thank you 🙏
Thank you professor. This is profoundly interesting and has inspired me to study International Human Rights Law.

International Human Rights are subjective for interpretation. It's for the large powers to selectively persecute the smaller powers. If Hitler firebombs, on purpose, civilians, he deserves the death penalty because "human rights" and whatnot. But if Churchill does it on Dresden nobody bats an eye. Or if a Nazi kills 100 people, he is a war criminal, but when the US drops two nuclear bombs killing countless innocent people--no one bats an eye. So these "human rights" laws are selectively enforced by the powers that be. Why is no one persecuted for killing millions in the middle east for fake weapons of mass destruction and to "spread democracy" killing countless innocent men women and children. "Human Rights" is only used in selective ways--by the same powers that created it in the first place.
You really nailed it.
The class is really nice 😊
Human rights lie We are refugees in Lithuania prisons for 6 months. Where are human rights??? We asked for asylum because Lithuania says we are the European Union and now it imprisons us!!! Save the refugees from Lithuania!!!

International human rights law is designed to protect indigenous populations from foreign aggression. They must be recognised as the true inheritors of their land for example Cheyenne, aborigines, Romany gypseys as long as they maintain traditional practices.
