Please turn up the Output volume. I have my phone volume max out. I respect what you’re trying to do. Thank you
Thanks. I’ll work on that.
thanks for the tips
Very nice man
Thank you!
wow...nice voice Sir
@@StephenBoateng-x4l Thank you!!
I really appreciate this series! I’m working through this etude/book for my post graduation studies to improve on my bebop style. Quick question: I’ve been kinda struggling with figuring out good fingerings for the etudes. I’m trying to mitigate big leaps or awkward stretches, but I feel like I spend a lot of my practice sessions experimenting with fingerings rather than actually playing it. How did you approach fingerings when you had the whole etude together?
Actually, I played many of the etudes in several positions so used multiple fingerings. I used to try to play every possible fingering. Too much. Now I try to play the one that feels the best and that feels like it can be played at fast tempos, just in case. So, fewer string changes and skips if possible. Staying in position as much as possible. Legato into the strong beats whenever possible for swing feel.
Gotta hand it to you, you’re still going. As an experiment you’re sharing with UA-cam, you can track your progress. Cool idea.
Thanks, man!!
Great guitar playing!
Thanks!!
"Promo sm"
Oh my god what was that?
Hahaha! Good or bad??
This is great. I’d like to learn this is it available somewhere? Totally new to jazz. Thanks
Hey there. Not sure if you'd want to start with this song but here it is. www.getchasomeguitar.com/p/universal-standards-all-steps
🚬🤠 cool stuff , new subscriber from Australia
Thanks!
Nice sounds.
Thanks!
I really love your voice!
Thank you so much!
this was not as gay as i expected it to be not bad
Amazing skills!
Thank you! I’m trying to get better every day!!
Lots of really great stuff dude. Cool channel idea and fun journey. Rooting for ya!
Thanks, man!!
nice i have the same picture hanged on the wall as the one behinfd you, nice playing btw
Nice! Thanks!
Just found your channel, great arrangement
Thanks so much!!
amazing journey and full respect for it! A simple question: are you planning to upload 100.000 videos of 10 minutes practicing? :D
To answer your question indirectly, yes, I am crazy. Directly: I would have to upload 60,000 videos at 10 minutes each.
nice playing
Thanks man!!
YEAAAAHHH 10 THOUSAND HOURS ! LETS GOOOOOO
LET’S GOOOOOO!!!!!
That was nice. So, my guess is you prayed the lick in different octaves, as well as different keys and different octaves? Did you cycle the circle of 4ths?
I did not cycle through keys, no! That’s hardcore!
nailing it on a squier and still sounding jazzy and impressive!! greetings from a young chilean!!!! keep it up
Yo!! Chile in the house!! Thank you!!
With this tool you can go to a studio and get good recordings. No listener in the world will then say: That sounds cheap. Everything done right.👍👍
Thanks so much!!
That was very interesting. I love the sedately paced but quite unusual notes in the solo melody, and the chord progressions are really intriguing. You didn't play every note and chord on the beat l expected, but it all worked very well nonetheless. Expected is predictable, and predictable is boring. Thanks.
Thanks so much!!
It would be helpful to see a list of the chords you are playing to. Thanks for sharing.
Ok. I can work that out in the future I believe.
@@oliversmusicalgenius Thank you. I can figure out the chords from the bass notes, it would just speed things up a little to have them right there for a quick reference. Appreciate it.
@@jimdep6542 Actually, here's a link to a video of the same song on my other channel where you can see the song in real time ua-cam.com/video/8ZeoATvgttU/v-deo.html
that's a nice guitar cool stuff!
Thank you so much for watching!
@@oliversmusicalgenius was a good watch thanks for posting
I have the same guitar, but with an ebony fretboard, how did you get a maple one?
You buy one with a maple fretboard???
I know there’s a roasted maple version but his guitar has a much lighter looking fretboard, like a non roasted one
@@arielshere2643 This type of maple fretboard was available when I bought it in probably 2015. guessing it's no longer available.
@@oliversmusicalgenius got it, thank you
Thanks for sharing sir 🙏🏼
Thanks for watching!
I love to see jazz played on a telecaster. Liked
Thanks!
think you did a great job, so laid back. sometimes the emptiness speaks volumes, certainly in this track. cant wait to see where you are down the line, keep it up!
Thanks so much!!
interesting
Keep the jazz train going.
Yes, will do. Been working on some Jazz stuff and will be posting shortly.

the 50 yard line of the section yay
I feel like the chord symbols and arpeggios are key
Certainly is a good way to get the core harmony in your fingers and ears.
This is the way.
Exactly!
