Got a Jaguar XF Sport and haven't a clue where to put the Fob (so it's next to the sensor!) my Mechanic said to hold it close to the Starter button but, that didn't work so, just hoping maybe someone can tell me where the sensor is for the XF? Many thanks in advance if anyone can fill me in? *_EDIT_* Can I make a point well worth knowing? Do NOT, stint on the replacement battery for the Fob! Pay extra for the battery and get a good quality one! I was buying $2 batteries which lasted (often) less than a month! I then bought one for $17 and it's been in the Fob for almost 4 years!

Hi as far as the battery issues, if you put a reader in the diagnostic socket and read any issues, after you disconnect it you need to disconnect the battery for a few minutes Then reconnect the battery . As if you dont the car runs things in the background even when you turn it off and locked and this will drain the battery,,?

Thank you so much for this video, I was looking everywhere for a method to update my system. The more I drove my wife CRV with CarPlay the more I was missing it on my 2016 F150. I spend days trying to update my unit from 3.0 to 3.4 without any success. I even started looking at replacement unit's aftermarket $700 to $1000. Then I found your video and wow how easy. I purchased my HUB from local ford dealer for $80 because I wanted it today. In about 15 minutes I had the old one out and new one in. Then the magic happens just plugged in my iPhone and I had all the apps like the new CRV car on a 2016 F150 sync 3.0. Now I did spend the next hour in the truck just loving and playing with all the apps. It is very easy, just sad that I did not find this years ago. Thanks

Very nice car and very popular here in Australia. . Have a look at our XY GT HO 351 Phase 111 Falcon from about 1970. At the time it was the world's fastest 4-door family sedan. Yes, the Chrysler 340 was quicker but was only a 2 door.

Didn’t work for me I got it and I’ve done master resets and everything and my sync is 3 version 3.0 but didn’t work and I’ve tried everything at this point I’m getting frustrated and after changing the usb thing my ford logo didn’t load like urs did it just loaded like normal and I did a master reset and still nothing my phone was plugged into an apple brand charger cord and my truck is the 2016 ford F 150 4x4 lxt so it should of worked I was so happy that I was going to get apple CarPlay this is just a letdown to me

Does this work with a 2015 model

Question: I have a 2014 F-Type S V8. It only sat for maybe two weeks or less and didn’t start. It keeps saying low battery so I get some electricity in the car including the screen. I jump started it easily under the hood to the fuse box. I let it sit for 10 minutes and then drove 20 minutes to Auto Zone. I parked and turned the car off assuming I just need a new battery. The kid puts in the brand new battery and not only won’t it start but it won’t even jump start. The older gentleman that works there came out to help and he tested everything and doesn’t understand why it won’t start. I said I just jump started to get over here why would a brand new battery be worse. In fact the car electrical system was acting up worse than before including the windows went down and I couldn’t work them or lock the car. He said it must be the alternator and ultimately I had to get a tow truck home. Today I can still unlock the car with the remote and open the trunk. It has some electrical inside and still says low battery and won’t start. What do you suggest is the issue?

Hello, Great video, however Jaguar Forums in the Uk say do not Jump start or trickle charge at the battery in the boot. You should jump start from the Terminals under the bonnet that you correctly showed in your video, and trickle charge from a Juntion box live terminal and earth, located in the boot under a cover that you did not remove during your video. The reason is it can fry the computer brain.

These obdII emissions strains are killer... I can't go through this dead battery crap every year.

Question...I went out and bought the module and installed it today. It all pops up fine, shows my iPhone apps correctly, but do you have to keep the phone plugged in to the USB all the time, to have the apps work? As soon as I disconnected my phone, it went back to the Sync3 screen, which is why I'm asking.
