How sad that after his request was not heeded, this male employee was terminated for going against company culture/actions by not wanting a celebration and was also ridiculed for ‘acting like a woman’ = being ‘emotional’ when, clearly, he has psychological issues related to his day of birth. This emotional reaction from the company employee with the power to terminate others is 1. Not decent behavior 2. Is equivalent in shock value to the birthday boy’s response. 3. Is a clear sign that this company does not conduct its internal (nor probably external) business following standard business practice of performance rating. While I typically feel that our American society is too litigious, I am actually pleased that this gentleman fought an unfair firing. I do however wonder whether the judges would have reached the same judgement had this employee been female…

I wonder where they got the idea from. A yellow circle with a red border has been used for school crossing by the “lollipop man/lady”, probably before supermarkets were invented. I can’t add a photo but search for “uk school crossing lollipop sign” and you’ll see what I mean. Brands should be able to copyright their names but copyrighting particular colours is a bit over the top in my estimation. Perhaps I ought to copyright hundreds of combinations of mathematical shapes of very broad non specific colours and sell them to the highest bidder!!

After watching the Ferrari challenge and witnessing the cars fly apart like ripping open a bag of Doritos with just the slightest collision, the watching a Porsche have the same type of crash and just keep on racing, there is NO way I’d ever buy a Ferrari even if I had the money. The'y better serve their customers by getting staff on the tills, and why may I ask why isn't everyone of their self service tills both card and cash.
