@@chicotabletennis1 This is not her first tournament. She has played in many WTT series in the last two years and has reached either the semi-finals or even the finals in some of those competitions. Although she will never become a world champion she can cause a lot of headaches to the top 10 players, even beating some of them along the way.

You're not creating a topspin with a chop; a chopper is hitting downwards for powerful backspin. Players are not having failed shots into the net because of topspin it's because they are lifting and failing at lifting the backspin. Once an attacker sees that moment a chopper hit's a forehand topspin they are going to pounce on it. The new style chopper does have some attacking moves and don't just wait for an error by the other player ala Suh hyowon

A good chopper is at advantage as soon as he/she can mix heavy chops and no-spin chops with similar strokes and similar trajectories. This girl is a low-skilled chopper, because her opponent loops with one and the same stroke and doesn't have her loops flying either way long or into the net. The chopper cannot make her spin vary.

Don't be too hard on her. Choppers always had disadvantages, and it's scientific, but it's an amazing style.

Can you find a good title? You are right on your observation! Wang Yang is a great Chopper and the tittle really does not match. That`s because I was emphasizing the patience needed to play against a chopper. Moregard did master all spinning chopps. Actually Moregard is not very aggressive player. He`s style is more about neutralize the opponent spin. Overall I would like to people watch whole match and I put a link to it and there everyone will see a great match. Unfortunately Wang Lost. The way Moregardh plays takes the chopper out of his comfortable zone. He's a great chopper when the opponent attacks. The Swedish is smart!

@@Jeber81 i think what they're saying is that truls didn't dominate the game by using techinique, but rather by placement and outsmarting, which is different from players like ma long who can just deal with the chops with power and consistency

​@Jeber81 he won for sure. It's an amazing player. Just doesn't have the same attacking power like Ma Long or Xu Xin. It's more about style of play. He neutralize the opponent spin and not even have a backhand loop. He's light years from Waldner skills.

@@chicotabletennis1 This video only has 24 frames per second. That isn't enough for table tennis. It also has repeated frames about once every 10 frames which reduces the effective framerate down to below 22 fps. You need at least 30fps for smooth video of table tennis. I expect the original video was taken at 30 or even 60fps. If you still have that video then it should be possible to get it uploaded to youtube without downsampling to a lower framerate.

There are controversy about the hardness of the rubber. Neuroscience recommend soft rubbers and also Hard or fast blades diminish the neurotransmitters activity so, studies proof is the opposite of what you are saying!

@@chicotabletennis1 Im a tt player from Hong Kong China my thoughts are if beginners can't reach a certain level where they have good technique with power than they never should have spend time and money on the sport anyways

@@Fiddlishkaba Performance is not the most important for 99,99% of the table tennis players. There are many other reasons to continue practicing and playing. As a hobby and great way to get healthy it worth every single penny.
