Its impressive that Jeanty has 7.33 yards per carry (both RBs at Ohio State have the same or better average) but he also has 312 carries. If Reggie Bush had 312, he wouldnt have just been the most electric football player of his generation, he probably has the single greatest rushing season in history. Jeanty is good but so were Melvin Gordon (2500+ rushing yards) and Montee Ball (30+ touchdowns) and neither of those guys won Heismans. One could argue that Derrick Henry won his Heisman for being the best player on the best team the year he won it. Running backs just dont get the same attention that a two way player or quarterback does. And he plays in a group conference not power conference, so Im curious what his stats would be in a power conference

Jeanty while being amazing and easily the best running back in college is doing something that has been done before and with less games and more yards with more competition. (Barry Sanders 2,628 in 11) while Hunter is playing at a level we have never seen a two way player at or probably will ever see again. Top 5 at both positions easy while playing harder teams. It’s not close for a reason.
