Step by Step video of the infrared asphalt repair process
Who makes the mini roller packer?
I enjoyed your video! It doesn't seem like you heated the asphalt enough. It looks like it took some effort to scarify the asphalt. Was it heated deep enough? I have seen other video's that look like they heat the asphalt to where it is easier to work. Thanks for any response.
Hello! Different asphalt conditions heat differently. We work all over New England, so the age, type and location tend to play into how well asphalt rakes. Also, we don't want to overheat the asphalt and burn it out. It does usually take some effort to scarify even if you have a great infrared system like the Kasi Patriot.
Thank you!
Thats cool and all but why does Chris keep calling my wife
any reason why you guys did not add any emulsion
Do you mean rejuvenator? If so we don’t use rejuvenator, we never have and our repairs hold up fantastic.
Do you mix the old heated asphalt with the new hot asphalt? Or do you just lay the new hot asphalt over the old heated asphallt?@@Northamericaninfrared
What is your minimum charge to show up? If it's 2 miles away or 20 miles away? Thanks
We don't have a minimum charge to show up, we just price the work and that's the price.
How long did this patch take?
15 minutes tops start to finish, it was warm that day
Do you always ad mix to your repair?
Yes we always add fresh virgin hot mix asphalt to our repairs.
@@Northamericaninfrared I did my first season last year with an older infrared that I rebuilt. I did 200k last year and am now adding sealcoating. Love these
My man bringing the bones to the top
Honestly patched asphalt looks worse than nothing at all. If your parking lot is full of pot holes or bad spots you might as well redo the entire thing.
Well this parking lot isn’t full of potholes and we aren’t going to advise a customer redo their lot for a few small potholes. A repair is certainly better than leaving a safety hazard.
You patch them sealcoat.
i bet you are the type of person to have water coming through your ceiling and say the same shit you just did
How much do you charge per sq ft?
Depends on the area and how far we had to travel. We mostly charge by the heat
@@Northamericaninfrared I just built a 2x4 unit and am trying to better understand the market so I can charge fairly. Is $25 per foot about right?
It depends on where you are it could be anywhere from $4 - $10 a square foot. Different regions get different pricing
@@Northamericaninfrared thank you for the feedback!
one of the worst and hardest jobs i ever did in my life, low paying too. roofing, masonry tender or asphalt repair its toss up
I made bank on it last year. I own it though
Nice video
i run a infrared out of PA. been running it for 8 years. me and one man. most days get 4 tons. whats your average day
I'm also in PA and want to build an IR. Do you think it would be fairly easy?
@@MichaelJeffers75 For a quality IR machine i would recommend going through a manufacturer. Call us at 603-504-6538 if you want to talk about some equipment
We have 3 Ton reclaimers on our trucks
@@Northamericaninfrared I can't afford to buy one, not even the smallest unit sold by the cheapest manufacturer which is why I am committed to building my own.
M Sir… what part of PA? Our driveway was recently damaged and we’ve been told the cheapest, fastest and least noticeable fix would be an IR repair.
Have any for sale?
