I rilly wish I could find a good swop for my shocks forever replacing in the xt
Planing on bed near floor Level after, seats and boot stuff gone so I can sit with feet in the tyer well off the side of bed with cubeds cut into the other side of the car
Wish I could find more with a build after removing the seats
So looking forward to building out my subaru. Thank you.
Awesome build. I like your extra tiedown points for robustness. I really liked the aluminium panel for your cook surface.
What would you charge to duplicate?
5:08 an embarrassing moment for all forester owners.
Awesome build, what happens if you get a flat, how difficult to get to the spare?
Hi Jarod, great build! I was wondering can you lay down flat in the bed, because in the video it looks like you sleep with some inclination.
Totally about to build out my civic like this, I’m tired of paying rent and I’m tired of working 2-3 jobs just to survive. This past year I was laid off of my amazing job I had and I’ve just hit a complete rough patch of not being able to find a job that covers my bills it’s a long story but I’m tired of my roommate being upset with me for paying rent late. Rather live like this alone with bare minimum while working and saving a ton of money to just buy a house eventually. I have a 2022 civic SI was thinking about trading it in for a honda fit but seeing this makes me wanna just keep my SI
I would leave the spare tire with the jack more accessible. Just in case! Good job!
It looks like you removed your spare tire for extra storage, but where is your spare tire?
Definitely cool but there's so much lost space with that foam around the spare. I took mine out and built supports underneath. Lots of space for food under there. I also cut my rear seat so it's a permanent 3 seater now. I get wanting to keep the seats but removing them is easy and gives you a ton of space. Far easier to do that than installing this system.
Can you help with my build, please 🙏 😅 Thought I’d ask. I’m new to this & I want my backseats taken out but i’m afraid of the build that would have to be taken place after I take my back seats out
I like this quite a bit. One sticking point is the single hinge for the fold down coffee making stand. I'd recommend for longevity to use two hinges.
Show how you clean your dishes and cookwear....
Thanks for the video! Do your plans include the 2" your said you shaved off to reduce the height?
Can we get plans for the build, I have an 8th gen I want to adapt this to
I was so happy in the middle of the video when the music stopped playing. Then it started up again and my ears continued to bleed. Interesting build though.
How much mileage does it get with everything in it
epic space management!
what year forester is that?
It is a 2015!
@@jaroddclark nice youre lucky u didnt get the 2014. the 2014 has a lot of engine problems. has it been treatin u well til now? is it the turbo version? do you like driving it? can u rate it /10 taking into account the price and everything? thanks for responding
check mon build love your
Do you still have the platform plan?
I love your build! I've been looking at lots of Forester builds and have settled on yours. I'm curious however - Do you think there is much of an advantage to the double drawer system compared to a single drawer with a removable countertop covering, say, half the drawer? Thanks!!!
Thank you! I love being able to fully use the countertop and also access the drawer at the same time. If I am cooking for instance, I’d hate to have to move the stove in order to grab things out of the drawer.
great idea. what is the length of the bed? Is it long enough to be comfortable?
Thanks! It’s 6’4” long, more than enough length for me. Very comfortable
Evidently this isn't possible without a conversion because I cannot find videos in a normal car.
That pizza looked pretty tasty, never would have thought to do that! Thanks for posting!
Nice video man! Keep up!!
Awesome video! You deserve more subscribers
Hey man, this was a very nice and calming video! The editing is great as well as the content. Keep it up!
Love this... made me homesick. I’m from the Keweenaw, a great little town called Copper City. ❤
Thanks for watching! I have a tough time watching back my videos too, it makes me want to go back!!
Wow, why did you leave ? Keweenaw is heaven on earth
Wow holy shit that's awesome. I think I've finally found what I want done with mine. Mine is a 2016. Beautiful work man just so nice and awesome!!!
The dimensions appear to be the same on the 2016. I also have a 2016 Forester XT Premium.
You rock brother
Will this fit a 2007 Subaru forester? Looking to get dimensions can’t find any online
From my understanding forester models before ‘13-‘14 are a bit smaller. I think they made the design bigger around that time.
@@jaroddclark ok thanks
i was thinking about putting a foldable 100w solar panel underneath the back window as well, how much wattage do you get out of it, with it being behind glass and all?
I don’t really use the panel much anymore but it seemed to cut down the wattage by about 40% even in direct sunlight. It’s possible newer solar panels could be better, not quite sure
How did you go about securing it in the back of the car? Or did you rely on the fitment of the pieces to do that?
The pieces fit very tightly within the space of the car, however there are two turnbuckles that fasten the back section into the trunk. Mostly these are to provide a counterweight when the drawer is fully extended
this is awesome!
Solar panels at the back, I didn't think of that - could easily just curtain it off. Nice content!
Woah, I've never seen anyone with the same spelling of my first name!
lol that was my thought before I could even read your full comment! 😂
Absolutely amazing build. And leaving one seat still functional was a pretty good idea. Just having a seated space with a sort of table beside it could be quite useful. I see there was a gap between the storage behind the driver and the bed frame area where you stacked 4 pieces of plywood, did you end up tidying up this part and utilizing the tiny cubby space or left it as is? Also the aluminum countertop was a stroke of genius. Adds such a convenience for a countertop that you don't see in many builds. About to go down a rabbit hole for any videos you've posted of the Forester as this is perhaps the best build i've seen thus far.
Thank you! For the cubby storage I usually use that to store camera gear as a sort of built-in camera bag. It has served a variety of purposes for camping and just driving about town.
Great build for inside car camper Urabus 4 life 😅 ( Subaru backwards I'm a owner too )
Too advanced for me, but I appreciate your video. Excellent design.
Love your videos! Where are you at starting at the 5:02 mark? Almost looks like the drive to High Rock Bay at the tip of the Keweenaw. I am curious if you made that drive in your Forester! If you made it to High Rock Bay and/or the Keweenaw rocket range that would definitely change my mind about getting a Subaru!
Can the windows be closed completely at night without ventilation problems ?.
Definitely a bad idea without a humidifier
Great video and edit! I'm looking to buy a subaru forester, and this video gives me lots of ideas
coolest build i’ve seen! can’t wait to try this on my forester! thanks for including the plans!
How long did you seep your coffee for?
Using my aeropress I usually steep for 2 minutes, stirring at the 1 minute mark. I follow James Hoffmanns aeropress method from UA-cam.
@@jaroddclark that dude is a nut! 😜 Cool guy actually. The UP is really cool. I grew up near the south shore of Lake Superior in Wisconsin.
Great trip! most folks don't realize just how beautiful this state is. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a great trip! I've traveled all over the UP and the Western portion is definitely my favorite.
It was! Can’t wait to visit again
