Oh, I’m so sorry for the late reply. I haven’t been logged in here for a while. Thanks a bunch for your kind words. Yes, I use a wet palette. But you can also make one yourself. Use a container, place a wet sponge inside, and then cover it with a parchment paper. And there you have your wet palette. Just make sure to periodically add water to the palette to maintain the desired consistency of your paints.

I recommend FIMO varnish, which is a water-based varnish. I also recommend UV Resin or Epoxy Resin for super shiny finishes.

No, I didn’t varnish it. If you varnish it, you’ll loose the matte & powdery effect. There is always a possibility that some powder may come off (I remove excess powder with a fluffy brush) but usually the majority of it should remain on the surface. The powder binds with the clay during the baking process.

Hi, thanks for your patience and your kind words. Seidenpuder from Dr. Hauschka contains Oryza Sativa Starch, Serica Powder and Silica while Baby Powder contains talc. I tried to use Baby Powder, but the result wasn‘t as realistic as with the Seidenpuder. But you could use corn starch instead and get a very similar effect. ✌🏻
