I acquired this beautiful boat over the winter and am so ready for the water to be warm! 362 hours on the engine, which is a Ford 351 “gt40”. I have the board, ballasts, pumps and wedge to make this thing throw a surfing wave, so I’ll get some video of us shredding this summer. Thanks for watching!
YZ250FX - Best Bike Ever?!??

Really cool bike! Extremely comfortable to ride, easy to maintain and handles the trails without any questions! I’ll do my best to get some riding clips soon, unfortunately I just had a knee surgery and I’m recovering from that. But until next spring, thanks for watching! See y’all soon
Who said trail bikes can’t ride track?? Yz250fx at Twisted MX

First time on a track in about 4 years so I was trying to not get hurt! This bike is amazing and I felt super comfortable all day. These are the last two laps I did, arms were pumping up and fatigue was setting in, so not the fastest, not the slowest. Was a good time!

2009 CRF250R WALK-AROUND - 10 years later
Woo Hoo. Let's tear up some more of Mother Nature and annoy all the good folks out there that are forced to listen to this annoying shit.
Think this bike is good for an adult beginner?
Maybe the 2019 but if you’ve never ridden ever then no. Would recommend you go with the TTR until you understand how the clutch works and how to operate the machine well. These are race bikes. Not beginner bikes
Nice video! Waiting on my 24 to come in and I’m pretty excited!
You should have brought the 450 mate
I have a 19 and could not be happier. Really appreciate this video. good info. Was curious if when I upgrade if I might go to the WR just for the softer suspension .
I have the 19 ‘ and absolutely love it
Is there a difference in engine vibration/smoothness between the models?
I don’t think they are much different. It’s been months since I’ve ridden because of the snow, but both are very smooth and don’t vibrate much. I had a husky 350 and it vibrated so much I sold it. These do not vibrate and are easy to ride for long periods of time
Great review. Would you know if there are hookups to add a fan and lights? I think I'd rather have the WR but they are hard to find (plus I think you need to buy the ECU kit)
I know the fan is an easy add. The lights I’m not super sure on. However I’ve seen it done before, can’t be all that hard
At 5.8.. 150lbs. I used to ride a lot when I was younger, but haven’t for about 15 years, and I’m thinking about getting one of these, if it ain’t too much bike lol.
It’ll be just fine. Great bike, will be stiff and a bit agressive but you can tame it down
At 5.8’ 150lbs. It’s a pretty tall bike, guessing I will need to adjust sag, etc..
I get rid of the plastic rear break disk stuff get swing arm pro. Front rotor pro. And more!
I am already designing my new graphics kit and ordering protection for it!!
I just orderd! Mine I get the first one in eastern Washington!! It will go good with my 22yx125x
I just ordered mine!! For some reason eastern Washington will not have any until April May time frame!Fram!!
Boring AF
I have a 2019 YZ250FX and a 2020 new gen, I like the 19 power just as much if not more.
Sweet bike brother. I also have a 2019 Yz250fx it’s been such a great bike
What’s your opinion now that you have some racing on the new one?
I do like it a lot! Probably will have the suspension done over the winter and upgrade the battery. I did like changing maps between those two sections. Also, this thing turns so well! It’s overall pretty great, play with suspension and put my numbers on it and I’ll be good to go racing next year
@@steezzyy3918 nice!
Nice bike dude..I just also pick up my 2022 yz450fx..love the blue….enjoy
Great video! The only thing I would change for sure is the battery. The battery in these new FX’s are junk. Question: you still doing that sprint enduro now that it’s in Battle Creek?
I sensed the battery wasn’t as good as the 19. But yes! I’ll be there! I’ve been practicing my starts from a dead stop and seems it you aren’t touching the throttle at all it fires right up. But it is very touchy and can crank forever sometimes. I’ll be in the Cadillac/kalkaska area this weekend with the RZR
I’m picking my 2023 up tomorrow. How many hours until you do the first oil change?
I’ve always guessed before. But now that I know how many hours are on it, probably will do it before it hits 5. I’ll be at 2.5 this weekend. I think you were asking about suspension before, I did a couple fork clickers softer on compression and rebound. Made a pretty good difference. More comfortable now
2019 look better tbh
Would these still make a good trail bikes or are these new ones(2023) more geared for MX style of riding?
I’d say it’s going to be a fantastic trail bike. It just comes from the factory a little stiff for my liking. A little fine tuning of the forks and maybe a touch softer in the rear, this thing will be great in the woods. I’d say two clicks softer and we’re good to go for what I like.
@@steezzyy3918 Glad you made this video. I am suppose to pick up ,y 2023 250FX this week. I was second guessing myself after watching your video. I am 6'4" and 175. Coming off of a beginner 2020 KLX230R. Lets hope i do not kill myself on this new bike.
@@fattie2550 you’ll be in love. There is no other bike like this on the market. That’s why I own two of them. Perfect for the trails and can also kick ass on a track if you want. It’s not gonna kill you, but it will be an awesome and reliable bike for years to come. Where are you located at?
@@steezzyy3918 I am in Boise Idaho. Where are you located?
@@fattie2550 I’m in Michigan. Totally different terrain, but I’m positive the bike will gladly tackle your terrain
How much stiffer is the 2023 suspension percentage wise???
That’s a hard number to say. My initial reaction was about 15% or so. I think a better way to describe it is the new bike is set up for a pretty aggressive rider at 175lbs. Not pro level, but definitely about B class skill level. That’s about what I’m at, so it suits me well. I send whoop sections and over jump things landing to flats, the new bike is much more capable of taking the big hits without bottoming out. The old one is much more plush for smaller rocks, roots, and bumps for sure, but the new one is set up to be pushed hard without hitting the limit
Did you end up getting your new bike?
@@steezzyy3918 yep. Picked up a 2023 fx in October. Where do you have your clickers set? Mine are in stock form and it seems very stiff.
@@fattie2550 that’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I think I have 4 hours on it now, and i went two clicks softer on compression and one softer rebound. However, I raced it once and still think it’s too stiff. I’m taking it to Enduro Engineering this winter to get it set up for my weight and riding style. It’s not too stuff if you’re on a moto track, however in the woods and the chop I encountered it was rough. Looking for a mix of being stiff enough to absorb the big hits and soft enough to soak up the chop. Overall, the race went well and I was still able to ride it and do well, just think the revalve will do wonders
@@steezzyy3918 Did you have to remove your handlebars to adjust your clickers? I only do trail riding here in Idaho so I’m gonna go as soft as I can from there. I have a little over 7 hours on my bike now.
That's seems to be a 2022
Owners manual, title, and VIN say 2023
Awesome brother !!!! Been Ridin' off road since 1968 !! Grew up in a Yamaha Shop !! Enjoy !!
One more question, where did you buy it from?
Let me know if you need some maps!
Congratulations 🍾🎊! This just popped up! I’m not sure why I didn’t see this till now?
Thank you!! We are gonna do the Michigan sprint enduro October 9th, you should too! But I got this on in maumee Ohio at Honda East. I’ve been playing around with some maps, I like the MX power feeling or the hard hitting. I tried a few others that I didn’t like
@@steezzyy3918 if your doing that sprint enduro is maple city I’ll be there! If that’s the one your doing lmk so we can possibly meet up at the event to say hi or something?!
@@Captain250FX yes, that’s the one. And absolutely!
I got told mine wouldn’t be in until November/ December
That’s what I thought as well, however I found what I think is the first one in the Midwest
@@steezzyy3918 maybe mine will come before then since mine is shipping to Michigan
@@adamgradowski5835 I actually live in Michigan as well. Jackson area
How much out the door?
Just a fuzz under 10k
@@steezzyy3918 That’s a good price. One dealer quoted me 10,400 and another one was 11,500 in Idaho
@@fattie2550 Honda East in maumee Ohio is my new preferred dealer. No prep or freight fees, just tax and title. $9850 OTD
Is it pretty similar to a track bike??
Yes but it is different. The suspension is a bit soft on the bigger hits but it handles so well. Plenty of power. Biggest difference is the soft suspension and there is 6 gears. So I ride thru the ruts in 2nd or 3rd. Never in 1st
Does it feel heavy on the track and how does it handle thinking of getting one but i ride track and trails
This bike handles amazing. i have zero complaints about the weight or how it feels. Ive owned honda, suzuki, husqvarna. I like this one the best. Its pretty rare i take it to the track, but when i do, i have no issues other than being out of shape! I will say that the forks are a touch soft for the bigger hits, so a couple clicks towards the firm side and you should be good. Im 5'10 165lbs. Zero regrets buying this bike
I've purchased the 2020 Husqvana fc 350f I'm 53 an race the VETS CLASS.Ive Raced all 4 Japanese motocross bikes There is nothing wrong with the current Husqvana.
Nothing wrong with it, It just wasnt for me. The bike and i didnt gel. So i got rid of it and am very happy with my new Yamaha.
Do you have trouble with the header melting your pants? I had to get a carbon heat shield for my 2017 Husky FC 350 other than that the bike is awesome!
I did have that problem! I only did it once, but I learned from it so I was careful after that. Unfortunately this bike didn’t last long for me. Sold it within a couple months of buying it
Grind down your turn stops, you'll turn tighter than a KTM! Old yamaha trick!
Does it vibrate worse than like a 2 stroke
I would say it was similar to the 2 strokes I’ve ridden. And I’m not a fan of that vibration
Dude at least u got a good looking bike u might not like it but a 350 is my dream bike 🤣 I’m 16 and have had a ttr125 for 3 years because my family or I can’t afford a new bike 😔
If I’m gonna have 6-8k into a bike, I want to love it. This bike wasn’t the right fit for me and I recognized that almost right away. I bought my Yamaha and absolutely love it. Never looked back
@@steezzyy3918 yeah I get u congrats on the Yamaha
I got a 2014 fc350 no vibrations the forks a perfect for trail riding and the seat was already swapped
You can change the seat and easily put kick starter on it...
The seat would be easy. The kick starter is not easy and might have been impossible. I don’t think the engine case allows for it. And that wouldn’t of fixed the front forks or the crazy vibration the bike puts off. Anyways, I sold it a few days after this video and bought my Yamaha, which I love dearly.
Nice! Best bike ever! These FX’s are so underrated.
That they are. Cracks me up when people want one of these KTMs.. I had that Husky and hated it. SO happy with this bike! We will ride this spring and get some good single track in! Thanks for the support Captain, cheers to you!
Super vidéo
No because the gas tank is transparent so you can see how much gas you have
Robert M this is true, however not one time have I had to check my gas on this bike. 50 miles plus of single track in a day and my gas light still doesn’t come on. It has incredible gas mileage
@@steezzyy3918 good to know im looking at the bike to buy , that being said me personally i would not block that feature out , but each to there own , and great video btw.
is that a 2019 model?
didickcheeseburger yes it is
What’s your height? I’m thinking ab getting one of these
Weston-Chevy 5’10” and 160lbs. It’s perfect for me
why's your 2020 look different than mine? your top fairing is black, mine is blue. and im pretty sure you have different graphics
joe0813 this is a ‘19. I didnt want to 20 cuz there is no option to add a kick start if you wanted to
Sickkkk. This song is fire.
dope
