    ⚠️NEVER place newly acquired chicks in with adult chickens, the results will be catastrophic. Chickens will attack unfamiliar and chickens that are smaller in size. These chicks were born here and are familiar to the other chickens and have mother hens that will protect them at all costs.

    I was maybe 11 years old when a couple neighborhood kids and I climbed a pasture fence to hang out in the field. The farmer came out and hollered at us as he was turning his herd of cows out. We scrambled out of there and I got the crotch of my jeans caught on the barbed wire, not knowing it was electrified. Scared me more than anything but definitely unpleasant 😅

    My leaves got black speckles all over them and slowly died off. I have two melons sitting that are not ripe. Where did I go wrong?

    Oh no!! Mine isn’t yellow! I think I picked it too fast! But the tendrils were way dried out?

    • @user-dh2ec5sl4h
      @user-dh2ec5sl4h 9 днів тому

      It’s ripe, chances are the bottom just wasn’t exposed to water, if at least 1 tendril has fully dried up, that’s a sign is ripe, I’d wait till 2 dry up first.

  • @garthroach5353
    @garthroach5353 10 днів тому

    This happens when you have it on the ground so when it rains it soaks up all the water, this is the reason for the split, the groundspot is the contact of the watermelon on the ground, which also can rotten the watermelon because of softspot insure you are giving calcium to harden interior wall of the fruit.

  • @garthroach5353
    @garthroach5353 10 днів тому

    The last watermelon is split at the bottom you need to pick that one, This split is a indicator of to much moisture the flesh on that one will be mushy.

  • @toxic_braindrain
    @toxic_braindrain 13 днів тому

    Sorry but none of these are actually true for rrsugar baby watermelons. The watermelon should not have that white frost on it. That indicates it's not ripe. The tendrils dont matter most of the time. Same with the ground spot. You can move the ground spot and in a day it wont be yellow anymore

    • @user-dh2ec5sl4h

      Or, maybe it didn’t rain, and yes the tendrils do matter, why would the plant send energy to le melon when it’s done growing

      Doesn’t matter, wait till the two tendrils around it dry up, then pick it so it’s guaranteed to be ripe

    The lady who gave me the rabbit and cage i have included some plastic pads to put in the cage. She said she needed something to stand/sit on off the wire and they have been working good so far. The bunny does tend to move them around though. It came with some plastic things which I believe somehow hold the pads in place but I have no idea how to do it 😅 but in her little house/hide section i put two beside each other and they stay in place. She chooses to lay on the wore part though 😩

    Neem oil is primarily an insecticide, it does work on powdery mildew, but you will need something much stronger. Mancozeb or Captan both these products are multi-fungal killing fungicides. I understand your problem I am fighting the same battle as you.

    Yeah, if you have the right kind of electric fence it doesn't really hurt at all, when I had goats I had one doe that regularly licked the wire I had along the top of my fence (it was to keep the dogs out, not the goats in and she was actually the only one big enough to even reach it). Every time it would shock her tongue and every time she would act all indignant that it dared do such a thing. I also regularly got zapped by it and other than the unexpected jolt it really didn't hurt and never even left a mark.
