Norton Commando 961 Sound - Welford to Uppingham Insta360
Переглядів 17 тис.5 років тому
First use and edit using Insta360 OneX. Soundtrack from Sena Prism with external mic.
What a great video, THANX for making it . As an Expat living in NZ some 30 plus years and have ridden motorcycles since I was sixteen, (I'm now 70), but I've gone full circle and back on a bike I started ridding on, a 1970 Triumph T100R Daytona. But I also loved the ride because I know the Uppingham area quite well, so enjoyed the ride. The camera stick had me fooled for a bit, I thought you had an out rider with you filming, then saw the camera on a stick in a shadow, but who was controlling it?
I'm glad it brought back memories of the Rutland area. Insta360 captures everything, you then control what you want to see in Pc software, clever technology!
I thought this Shit owned 2 CYLINDERS!!!!!!!
im in love with these nortons, hopefully they will be made again and be accessible if they arent subsidising stuart garners lifestyle, for now i have re gt650
Best bike and great sounds… too expensive for me 😢
Sounds Good !!!
It sounds soooo good. Thank you so much for uploading this video
Wow wow wow thank you guys watching this as made my day.
:o
I can’t handle it anymore,!!!
Thank you
Harleys in the late 1970s has 4 speed and not much over 85 mph. It was the era of the gas crunch...
What kind of carbs ???
Dual Del Ortos if I spelled that correctly.
Where is this area? Great roads 👍
So I'm rebuilding an 83 XR1000 and I need help out there people!!!!! Would someone with an XR1000 pop off the two little nuts that hold the speedo cover on and get me a picture of the information on the back of the speedo? Or if anyone has the part number, please let me know?
Check out my reply to other statement.......
Absolutely beautiful bike. My understanding is that only about 1700 of these were made. It would have been nice to find out a little more about this one instead of just seeing it being ridden for 20 minutes.
Although, it is nice to see someone actually ride one. Every video on UA-cam of a xr just walks around them talking about how it has no miles. Lucky if they start it.
Gracias
Bloody love it.! That is a gear driven primary... A chain is quiet compared......
Hi - how was this filmed..?? I can't see anything that's in anyway attached and this thing was like flying alongside you..
I used an Insta360 OneX camera on a stick, the software automatically removes the stick from view. If you look carefully you can see the shadow of it on the road in some shots.
@@markmartin3539 Flippin eck... i was sat there for ages thinking, how the blinking eck did he do that..!!!?? Great video - even BETTER bike..!! Would love one myself :)
I was wondering about that!!! Thak you all. For the input. By the way who was holding the stick? Afollowing bike passenger????.
lovely bike
That sounds awesome, why do so many rattle so much?
a British motorcycling tradition lol
No not really, fuckin lol,
It's a old school pushrod engine
Because the primary is on a gear drive ...its the chatter of the splines at idle..if you pull the clutch in the chatter stops
Because the standard exhaust is so quite... Remove the cats and open the pipes and it sounds like god.........
That sounds amazing, to me it sounds like the Mustang in the film Bullitt
My dream bike... 😎
Wonderfull sounding XR1000, thanks for taking us along on your ride
What a beauty and rarity!!! It's like candy for my ears. Thanks
It's OK ,, , but it's not much good after 85mph ? I had a 77 1000 sportster, 90 was pushing it. It was the "era" . And only a 4 speed as well. Here in the Sonoran Desert 🏜️ 90 is slow lane Traffic
Bike looks and sounds lovely Mark. Do you do your editing with the phone app, or on PC? :-)
On a Pc, I'm not very smartphone savvy! The sound from the insta is like any other action camera, it suffers from wind noise over 20mph so the sound was captured from a helmet cam with external mic mounted near the exhaust and then overlaid onto this video. I still at the beginning of a steep learning curve when it comes to making bike vids :)
@@markmartin3539 I use helmet cam audio with the mic in my helmet too. I prefer editing the 360 to fixed window on my phone, then sync it on my PC software after
