Positive Powerful Energy

I've been watching ASMRtists since the genre first developed, and I've seen many start from very simple and grow to become well-known and successful. I've been watching this channel, hoping to see the same development. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen for you, Maddy. So you don't have a lot of tech equipment, so what? Lo-fi is fine. Noise suppression, who cares. You COULD overcome that by making test videos, a minute or two long, in different places available to you, to see what they feel like to viewers. That level of effort would show you, for example, that your earliest vids, with the rhythmic mechanical noises, were actually very soothing. Background conversation through walls in the setting you are in now will never be soothing - the water was a nice try, but did not help (and was probably very wasteful), and a test video for yourself to review would have demonstrated that to you. (A test video might also have let you notice the pants on the wall behind you in your last few vids. Also not soothing.) Test videos at different times of day or night might help you determine when the quietest hours in your locale are, for better recording sessions. You wouldn't try to publish a written work without reviewing it first, right? Your videos are like rough drafts that you turn in without reading. In the beginning, that had its charm, but by now it is very negative. You still have not learned to maintain eye contact with the camera instead of watching your own face while recording. That's a big deal for this kind of channel. I subscribed and watched since you started out because I liked the energy you brought. But bro, you had 2,000 views on the brain tingles vid, and you drove 1,900 of them away because you decided to publish - and KEEP publishing - videos where you aren't putting the effort in to seek better recording circumstances and provide quality. You have a handful of viewers now who might read this, and clutch their pearls, and say, "omg maddy WE love you, screw the haters," -- but the numbers don't lie. Constructive criticism is never easy to hear, but if you can take this to heart and start putting a higher level of practice in for this kind of content, THAT will help your channel more than any echo chamber patting you on the back while your views evaporate. I love your videos! The content is excellent and the lighting is great. However in this video, I didn’t like the red light in the background. Red is a warm color but it also tends to bring out feelings of anger or aggression, so it was harder for me to relax at first. Do others feel the same?
