I was waiting this whole episode to see if you’d bring up Tunic, and finally! That game was so good, it transcended Zelda games in my opinion. Also, this was a very good video. I just subbed!

Tunic was too hard for me but a game i liked that reminded me of zelda was death's door

Blossom Tales (the sleeping king) was a fun zelda like game on nintendo switch and im sure other platforms as well, i beleive this game has a sequel as well but ive only played the first one The gameplay is a bit wonky in places but overall plays well, the story is nice too imo, very link to the past with its story storytelling tone

Ittle dew 2 is a nice Zelda inspired game. I have it on the ps4, but it is been removed from the psn store years ago. Dont know if it still the case. It still accessible on the nintendo eshop. Think link to the past with challenging bosses, and goofy humor.

Legend of Kay is really the only one that comes to mind. Can't really attest to it's quality overall...there's a bunch of really tedious minigames and platforming segments that really make some of the later temples an absolute slog. It also came out in 2005 on the PS2 and as such it's VERY much a product of its time. Dated voice acting, anthropomorphic animals, and like I said, very shoehorned minigames. It's like if Neon Studios wanted to force Spyro's gameplay loop into a Zelda-like dungeon exploration game. Also iirc, the dungeons are pretty open ended like what you would find in BOTW and TOTK and don't really have the same kind of structured maze aspect that the older Zelda titles used to have

i think this isnt a bad thing i mean some games basically need the gamepad not many people liked mm2 for that reason mario maker 1 worked very well but mario maker only using buttons was a pain

One thing you forgot about Splatoon 1, the campaign isn't the only single player content it has to offer, as it also has the amiibo challenges, which are basically on-disc DLC levels. They're basically the story mode levels, but with a different weapon, kraken, or limited ink. The kraken (Green Squid amiibo) challenges are the most fun, and it kinda makes me wish that Nintendo had ported the Splatoon 1 single player campaign and amiibo levels to Splatoon 2 as DLC. Not sure how much would it cost to get the three Splatoon amiibos just for extra single player missions

It’s too bad that a lot of good games are stuck on the Wii U and other consoles. Theres a lot of fun experiences that sadly won’t be preserved. I personally liked Color Splash and thought it was fun. But, I can definitely see why a lot of other people didn’t like it. Too bad that game will likely fade away. I’m sure we’d see some interesting mods for the thing since a bunch of people have figured out how to jailbreak the Switch and now we’re getting cool mods for Origami King and other games like TOTK. I’m really glad that we’re getting a Paper Mario TTYD remake. Just like the Mario rpg remake NOBODY thought this would happen and we all thought that Mario would remain this bland experience that only played it safe. Hopefully this will be a return to form. It’s too bad that Star Fox Zero turned out the way it did. I was hyped for that game thinking it would be really cool. Unfortunately, it’s just a 64 reimagining that threw in bad controls for so reason. If they do port any Star Fox game to the Switch I’d want it to be Assault because that was my favorite in the series. It seemed like a pretty good marriage of 64 and Adventures. The ability to hop in and out of vehicles was a lot of fun and I liked how the enemy wasn’t just an Andross rehash. Sure, the on foot sections/controls were pretty scuffed, the dialogue was super cringe, and the game was pretty short lacking alternate paths. Even with these flaws I still enjoyed it. If they used that as the foundation for a new game, while combining the alternate paths from 1/64 you’d have the makings of an amazing game that keeps the experience fresh. Sadly, that won’t happen.

In case for Mario Party 10, I think the Switch has Pacman VS. so if the switch version can still play like the gamecube version maybe Nintendo can do the same thing.... maybe.

11:50 While it won't happen, they could port Star Fox Zero to Switch with standard controls and have Star Fox Guard included on the cartridge which can be played if you use wireless link with two Switches.

yes but there are still fun Wii U games that have been released in better versions on Nintendo switch for example zelda breath of the wild country donkey kong tropical freeze Mario kart 8 deluxe new super Mario bros u deluxe super Mario 3d world + bowsers fury super Mario maker 2 and splatoon 2
