That's a neat little scenic level crossing, Great to see Dunedin railways out and about once more as well. I am actually off to Dunedin at the end of next week, So all going well I should have some content to show for it.

Looks like those level crossings have had a little bit of an upgrade since I last went through there in 2020. Interesting they have used those type of masts though, I think they look weird without barriers on them.

Unfortunately rest areas won't work unless the whole tractor trailer unit is inside the rest trigger box and some of the rest area boxes are too small for the trailers, so the trick to making them work is to detach the trailer, take the rest then hook up again afterwards. With the trailer detached then only the tractor needs to be inside the box, making it easier to get those smaller trigger areas to work.
