Thanks for showing this. I collect a few Ex-rental Blockbuster video VHS's mainly for the nostalgia of the store experience and how exciting it was but also for the fantastic artwork that looks so good on the big boxes. I use them purely as retro decoration and I'm also sentimental to the fact that the tape has a lot of history behind it being rented out and watched by many. With online streaming now and instant access it just doesn't compare to going to the store on a weekend and getting to rent the movie you wanted. 😃

I had this issue back in the day. Famous Monsters of fFlmland was just wonderful. I bought quite a few of them in the 70s.

No offense, but might I ask what the benefits are of buying VHS Tapes? Not trying to be mean or anything as I also buy VHS Tapes but I'm not like a hardcore VHS Collector. I more so buy VHS if it's something that is stuck on VHS and has yet to be released on any modern format such as DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K, etc. Other than that, I mainly just go with the Highest Quality Possible.

I have a Mcdonalds Back to the Future! That I will have graded in time. I need to sell a few to generate money, get it done slowly and cheaply then use that money to grade more. I have over 500 sealed tapes most of them canidates for 7-9 grading I hope. Demo tapes as well are going to be good with this, or at the top of the line the Oscars "For your Consideration" VHS holy grail demo tapes that were printed for nomination screening. A sealed one of those will harnass some capital. I only have 2 open copies of Consideration tapes, Shadow of the Vampire and Tim Burton's Sleepy hollow. Not a Tarantino Fan and that is where we are polar opposite! But that is the beauty of film and diversity it is art, and I envy the Full tilt Boogie disk as mine was scratched beyond use when I bought it, but hey From Dusk till Dawn works. Now that is A Laser Disk I want to hunt down. You are an idea machine Broski! Helps me think. Death Becomes her is Classic 90's comedy horror. We both share a Love of Fairuza Balk, even as a kid I loved her in "The Return to Oz" one of the most psychologically damaging Disney films ever made LOL I love it. True Dark Disney there. Approaching 4K tapes I am certainly having space concerns, but I have been involved in large scale inventory management for 2 decades in essential retail so, it is a challenge and a side project this VHS, but at times it is like a job, that is where I need to step back and enjoy myself like yourself! Demons is fantastic! We always had the Uncut version in Australia, and I own our "Palace Home Video" tape, which if in good condition, goes for crazy money.

I regular buy vhs and betamax from UK e bay. They mostly are video nasty pre-certs though. I hate to bid, would much rather a "buy it now" and at a reasonable price. My all time favorite tapes from UK are the the VIPCO "Strong Uncut Version" vhs and betamax pre-certs of ZOMBIE FLESH-EATERS. I have five in total and amazingly 2 of my copies are brandnew, never used and in shrink-wrap. Love you channel by the way👍👍

The Last VHS debate LOL Cars by Disney 2006 but really a strange fluke as it was only sold through their online members club, never in stores during the very end of the DVD transition War that destroyed VHS. It was the Last Disney VHS made and a used copy is 4K on ebay 12k graded 8.5 sealed, but I have a sealed copy of a Steven Seagal movie called Submerged right in front of me with a 2005 Sony release as well so, perhaps it was earlier in the year.

Back to the Future Video Store, That is walking into the cave area with the Grails at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, frozen in time. Amazing, thank you for sharing. That man loved movies as we do, perhaps more. Twister is right behind Jurrassic Park production wise. Another one I mass on. LOLOL Enjoy it for its bit of crapness, SPEED I gave up buying that one in BULK around 2021 I only Mass certain titles as this point.

I LEARNED something here, WB DVD old school cases are "CLICKER" cases as well as the US releases I have always been buying those paper plastic combo releases as they are better quality I believe in disc as well. That noise they make with the snap! CLICK. It is catchy, like an early fidget spinner gimmick. I found One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest and Blazing Saddles in the DVD clickers this week alone. Stepping up huntin' those. 13 Ghosts a Good Silent Hill style Run. That top 10 is logical, predictable as I see what get turns over at thrifts and absorb quality and good condition. I have over 800 Disney but only buy good quality unless vintage classic releases. Titanic and Jurassic Park I have over 30 copies a piece, It is now a 59th Survivor Race to get to 100 copies. what movie will get there first? I am thinking Jurassic Park. 31 functional VCRS also in the fleet, I am not sure exactly what I am doing, but I keep doing it well raiding the thrift turn overs cheaply LOL Again thank you Broski, you are a Spear Head of VHS culture.

I've had the Geek VHS in the past. I recall it going on about a geek would bite the heads off chicken etc.. But this is the form of geek that I discover (from Nightmare Alley) was a carnival attraction of the past.. They would often take a homeless person or such and keep them in a kind of horrible way up make them act weird.. rather different from how the word has evolved

Hello Andrew. "Gappa:The trifibian monster" (1967) was released originally and distributed by Deran film services. That tape you have is a bootleg tape and could of been found in the "Big video sale shop" in my Town, the one with the Tower. who used to repackage public domain films on 60 min tape, i guess its like the best of compilation.
