That means a lot! I was a 2010 graduate and a lot of my playing tape was recorded over unfortunately (old school hi-8 tapes). I understand it means a lot to players to have live game action recorded and it's my hope to give them some memorable clips. Thanks for watching!

The C80 looks pretty great. It's a lot of camera, in a good way. I haven't used it yet, (I would like to) but I would imagine it can perform well in most cases - sports and events, no doubt. A lot of good options these days from most brands. I have a lot of Sony glass, so it would have to take a lot for me to jump to another brand at this time. But if I had Canon lenses, I would be saving up for a C80 or C400 no doubt. Internal NDs would be nice.

@@coastalpromedia yeah this is what I thinking, but I need to consider that photos are a thing I’d like to do which would rule out this camera. Decisions decisions.

@@quiztasiarocks I hear ya! I picked up the Sony A7riv some time ago to help with taking pictures. The trade off is having to use two cameras and then switching lenses depending on use cases. I have a Sony ACii coming in tomorrow, it has a crop at 60p, but I want to play around with using it as a hybrid/travel camera. If I'm not too happy with it, I may have to look into selling the A7riv and saving up for the A1. Some of my favorite photos I've taken with the FX3, they come out great. But as soon as I need to crop, it can fall apart fast. I use Denoise with Lightroom and it helps make images I crop with the FX3 hold up better. The cameras that can do it all ain't cheap unfortunately. The other reason I lean towards A1 is because of the headroom to shoot sports photography (30fps). Although 10fps (Sony ACii) may be just enough to get by for now. I can't justify anything like the A9iii which such a specific use case... As fun as it looks.

Thanks for asking! It depends on the athletic director and Head Coach's approval first. Then, the school's Booster Club usually funds the video project to highlight their teams of choice. For example, this year, Victoria West hired me to do Highlights for the Varsity team and a one-time highlight of their JV team. In short, I can do JV if that's what the school's sports booster would be willing to fund. I hope that helps!

For sure! I use two monitors. My favorite is the Viltrox DC-X3 that came out this year. Crazy value at $270, is feature-packed and could easily pass for a $500+ monitor. Built tough, I dropped it accidentally, and the screen and body held up like nothing happened. I also use an Atomos Shinobi, that was my first monitor, and they are both excellent. I hear ya! Unfortunately I’m not available this weekend to shoot games. Which is a bummer since playoffs started. I also still need to build relationships with the East community. There are some channels I’ll need to get official approval through, one of those being the head coach for East. The booster for West helped me get connected to the Head Coach for West and AD to get the okay for sideline access, which helped a ton! That’s how I had access to East/West game. It means a lot to be wanted to be back out there! Thanks for the support. It’s encouraging.
