Coda - Lament for Planet Earth: Elegy
Album: What a Symphony
CODA is a Dutch concept band created and headed by multi-instrumentalist Erik DeVroomen. With a strong emphasis on melody, their material is lushly symphonic and focuses on swirling keyboards (grand piano, novatron, clavinet and various synths played by DeVroomen), climactic moments and a few but heavily conceptual lyrics - imagine VANGELIS with some killer guitar and super-spacey segments. Performed by: Marie- Claire Cremers aka Amber

Pendragon are an English neo-progressive rock band established in 1978 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, by guitarist and vocalist Nick Barrett.
this music is as good as gold. An absolute superb piece of musical craftmanshift. God bless you boys!
Los acabo de ver en montreal
Who came first ... Marillion or pendragon.? 😂
Performed by: Marie- Claire Cremers aka Amber
Such an accomplished band. Should have been much bigger.
Da 10 anni seguo questa band favolosa
I really love this song!
Beautiful progressive song with virtuoso instrumentation!
You know Phil has the best harmonies and rhythms.
😍
Sensacional banda britânica. Fizeram um espetacular show aqui em minha cidade, Macaé-RJ em 1998. Salve o Rock Progressivo🎵🎶🎹🎸🎼👏👏👏😃
How old are you?
@@notgadot Fifty-two old 😁👍
@@carlosjosedasilvameirelles5278 wow. Have a good life sir. 🤘
We have fond memories of opening for Pendragon during their The Windows of Light European Tour 1994. The gigs in Poland were very special. Greetings to Nick, Clive, Fudge and Pete and the fantastic crew James, Jim and Andy! And especially to the great crowds in Zabrze and Warsaw!
Sin duda alguna una de mis bandas favoritas, sencillamente geniales👏👏
Increíble, suena igual al disco 🙏
Aquí es donde se ve si un grupo es bueno o no, en directo, y Pendragon son simplemente geniales
Their best live show..
Severely underrated band!!!
Perfect!
Pendragon é uma de minhas bandas favoritas..
geniales, el baterista suena perfecto.
PLEASE come to South America, FFS.
6:18 slower but better than album version !
Masterpiece
Gracias Jen por compartir esta exquisita música. Toda esa movida de rock, profundo que desapareció, me produce mucha nostalgia. Parece que las nuevas generaciones no están inspiradas para escribir música de calidad.
Why on earth has this been taken out? This is like almost of all Genesis-Songs: Poetry of the century, so many people will know in hundreds of years just like music by J S Bach, for instance.
Yeah, but this one got an extra verse, which was added on the 2009 remastered version. People took the time to upload this because back then this was the only version with that verse available.
Er, I think you mean 3:00.
A Trick Of Outtakes is a bootleg!
This one could gently fit in "Trick of the tail" album before los endos, today they would have done it, if it was just a problem of too much timing. Beautiful song
great song but sounds like shit.....genesis released this on genesis archive #2 1976-1992 and its crystal clear
Indeed, I wondered if this was supposed to be the beginning of what became Los Endos. the "lost ending".. this got cut and Los Endos was expanded .. cute little song.
I did my own CD-R of A Trick of the Tail with It's Yourself added in the middle, between Mad Man Moon and Robbery Assault and Battery. I think it makes the album as a whole flow better, with more continuity.
It's fun to do that. I used to make me own custom mix tapes with different track order and extra songs.
Always loved the oboe...ARP Pro Soloist, I assume?
@@johnmeowzer8333 I'm not really sure if the oboe sound was done on the ARP Pro Soloist or not, but it's certainly a likely possibility.
@@macsnafu I'm a 70s keyboard geek...that's what comes to mind.
@@macsnafu I'm sure Mellotrons had an oboe sound but I dont think I've ever heard it. The oboe sound in Los Endos seems too 'clean' to be Mellotron, lacks that charming wobbly sound and spooky atmosphere.
Okay, I'm gonna be stupid for a second as I have ask, is "A Trick Of The Outtakes" really a Genesis album? Or is this just some artistic piece to make it "seem" like it's an actual album for the sake of giving the song the home it never had? Again, I'm confused by the album cover on the video. It looks like "A Trick Of A Tail", but who knows? Oh yeah, also, if it is some album I've never heard of before, where on earth can I find it?
I GUESS it's just having heard Los Endos so many times that makes the previous song /'feeling', ending as it does, seem incomplete (seems there should be more of it, that it should go somewhere else) and makes the beginning of LE seem tacked on. In other words the 'join' at 2:57 seems far from inevitable.
great song, i love pendragon
ah the most underappreciated Genesis clip ever!!
Wow...thats it....
wonderful piece.
che cos'è????
