Love those American Motor cars ! They make pretty drag cars ! My friend has a cherry rambler 2 door. I have been trying to buy it from him for fifteen years.

Many years ago I attended an all AMC day at National Trails Raceway in Ohio. They were very impressive.

Love those cars...had one in the family, friends drove them when I was a kid. Had a 71 SST 401 when I was a teenager that was a burnout machine bone stock Big block torque, was surprised. What Id give to be able to afford one today. Styling way ahead of its time. Shame what happened to AMC over time

Absolutely gorgeous Automobiles, not a bad day for the races. AMC Rocks, I have owned American Motors since 1980, Still have several in 2024. Love my 1970 Ambassador SST, 390 V8. What a Great Ride. I drive my 1974 Hornet every week. Just love those American Made Automobiles..👍🏼😏

All I did to my Pacer's 304 V8 was replace the Motorcraft 2 bbl carb with a Holley 500 cfm 2 bbl carb. Bigger butterflies yield bigger burnouts (2 feet instead of 2 inches). Surprised a few 5-litre Foxstangs.

Love AMC' 390and 401 were some of the toughest engine's came from factory with forged a crank and rods.

What happened? Can't see how they staged, can't see the tree come down, can't tell their reaction times, can't tell who won. Barely can see their ETs. Cute Pacer and Gremlin. Clueless about the race though. Missing ALL the important stuff.

If you see a Pacer with traction bars…run!
