Took a quick trip out to my stand location to switch out the card in the trail cam. I'll let it sit for another 2 to 3 weeks before I disturb it again.

    What was the clear silicon you mentioned towards the end of the video used for?

      I used it to put a small level on the bow up near the limbs.

    I put them on my Grizzly. The only thing it did was slow the arrow down and make the bow front heavy. Don't waste your money.

      Sorry for the delay. For some reason I can't access my channel. They are 16 1/2" bolts/arrows.

    What is the torque setting on the screws in the bolt for limbs?

    • @JohnTomasella
      @JohnTomasella 10 місяців тому

      I'm not sure if there is a torque setting. I used blue locktite and snugged them good without killing it.

    What’s the draw weight of that bow I’m looking at getting one ?

      I want to say it's 270 pounds. It's not too hard to draw. You can also get a crank. Death by Bungies daughter uses the crank.

    Matrix 355 and a longlimber Phoenix I don't run them on matrix cause I find them a pain in the butt for what its worth, on the Phoenix everytime I wanna let my limbs relax I gotta remove the cushions or split them .

    Hello and thanks for your video. Since I'm not very familiar with crossbows and the selection is now extremely large, I wanted to ask you what made you decide on an Excalibur? Although I am a convinced archer, I am still toying with the idea of buying a mid-range crossbow with a maximum of 350 fps. The compound system seems very vulnerable to me, so I tend to use a recurve crossbow. Kind regards from Germany

      I chose it because of simplicity, excellent warranty and the ease of working on it without any special tools. They are also known for being very reliable.

    Great choice on your Xbow… out of the 4 that I own, two are Excaliburs. Great warranty, and can maintain the strings yourself if needed. Probably my favorite Xbows of the bunch… Bulldog 440 and matrix 330 currently…

    I wonder how much the air brakes slow the fps down. I am looking at the same bow with all the sound deadening accessories on it, not sure if it's worth the tradeoff.

    • @jrtoutdoors8704
      @jrtoutdoors8704 2 роки тому

      I don't think the air brake slow the arrow down because by that time it has already launched. The other silencing systems do though

      Thanks for watching. I have some weight and spine matched Spinal Tapp arrows with 110 grain inserts now. Just waiting on the last of the firenocs so I can sight them in before this season. Also increased the head weight to 150 which will put me at 472 grains.

      People get to hung up on spine indexed arrows. It helps, but I've never done it, and I'm filling the freezer every year.

    COBALT ICE STRING WAX by winners choice.... its more costly but will soak in deeper in the the fibers in yr string..... the wax u have here os more like hard wax and dont soak in as good..........but u will still need to use excal serving wax on yr center serving and lube yr rail with yr venom rail lube... take my advice.... and btw i own the 340 mag too and the assissian 400.. love th xcals!

      i remove the string and i can wax it inside easily in the fibers with the non expensive wax 🤭

      Simple thing to do is heat the wax a little then it penetrates much better.
