I am a volunteer at the local shelter in my community and this video is a big deal for me. I have been buying beds on Amazon that only last a few weeks and then I have to discharge them. Now I see that it is something that I can build 4 much less money and with a higher quality. Thank you for sharing ❤

I got curious last night and started googling, "Ohio/Amish puppy mills", after a friend just traveled from colorado to get an $800 "bargain" priced 8 week 8 pound puppy from the Amish. She thought it was just a wonderful that the Amish were into simple life and used dog breeding to bring in some income so they could live their lives according to their religious beliefs. She was convinced they were selling her a healthy puppy with papers using ethical breeding practices. The puppy had it first seizure on it's 1st night at home 2 nights ago. I suspect this horrific video is just the tiny tip of the iceberg of the cruelty that is happening with these puppy profiteers who only care about money and have no sense of right or wrong. I am also appalled that in 2024 we do not have stricter animal humane laws and permitting regulations at both the state and the federal level to imprison people like this guy who calmly states he will just move onto the next state once Ohio denies his permit to be a puppy mill operator after multiple convictions of animal cruelty while acting as a "breeder". He is no "breeder", he is the "Grim Reaper"! When I was a cop, it was the same with convicted child pediphiles, they just move to another State and many times can avoid paying restitution and their court ordered probation with zero repercussions as they have limited extradition and can fall between the cracks. This guy had the same snug character as the pediphles I arrested and interviewed, they feel it is their right to be able to do what they do and society is wrong. With a pedophile, it is about their "true love" for young 12 year old boys and how the laws are wrong. With this guy, it is all about his right to make money breeding dogs in dirty cages by the thousands in inhumane abusive conditions. Who wants to bring a pediphyle back to their community after all, out of sight, out of mind and problem is solved. Same for this guy, he will just move on and nobody will want him back, good riddance and let him go perpetrate puppies elsewhere out of Ohio. We need State laws that recognize convictions for animal abuse in other states and we need enforceable and strict federal laws!!!!!

Love the perfect execution. Jusg a suggestion to use glue instead of screws, just to keep a dog safe. For something else like a bag, suitcase, etc the screws will give a great look n will try it myself. Just that for dogs have this chewing habit n what if a metal screw gets loose n dog swallow it n gets into a life threatening situation. Everything was perfectly done,

WHY IS EVERYONE INTO BREEDING DOGS..THAT CULPRIT NEEDS TO FIND A REAL JOB!

Ever seen the little video of someone heating a nut and a bolt and pushing the PVC pipe over one (ie. the bolt) and the connector over the other (the nut), then cooling them under cold water and twisting the nut and bolt out. It leaves you with a pipe and connector that can then be screwed together.

1 person can make a wooden frame. Then with the fabric easily staple gun it in tact. Just saying.

You both look like you have the know-how and the tools to do it so my question is why didn't you just put together a simple wood frame rather then have to find the pvc corners and those things?

Very nice. I’m wondering what the total cost is to make a bed because Amazon is selling a comparable bed for about $25. I only want one so I’m thinking Amazon.

This is very easy and very simple to do, just talk to the 3 way pvc corner cartel and badda bing badda boom you’re good to go

and people yell at me telling me that i supported puppy mills because i got mine from one in millersburg in ohio. I belive I saved her. This is hell for the dogs and now she lives as a princess in our family's home.

The Amish and Mennonites get away with all sorts of atrocities. I live in an area with large Amish communities. I've seen how they abuse their animals, and their children. This year I adopted a rescued Amish breeding dog. She is the most loving, gentle dog (a Mastiff) who is fine with females but absolutely terrified of males. She will run and try to hide away. She trembles in fear, urinates, her teeth will chatter loudly. It's just me and my daughter, but when my son's come home, we have to slowly get her accustomed to them and that they will not hurt her but it's heart breaking and seeing how terrified she gets and freezes in place and won't move, this causes them to abuse them more. It makes me sick. I was told there was another puppy mill and a woman adopted a puppy and was asked if "she wanted a mean one or a nice one" so apparently they abuse puppies to be mean for whatever purpose. Another had a sick dog and fearing they were all sick, put over 90 puppies and older dogs in a box and gased them, then threw them in a pit and covered them. So still alive. The Amish owner paid a small fine and released after a few days in jail. Mennonites are no better. They also have veal calves and treat them horribly. Once saw a man punch one in the face as it came to him for food wagging it's tail. These monsters need to be stopped.

um why dont you just use PVC cement...

I have a disabled chicken that is an indoor pet. I'm planning on making this for her, but I am going to use much longer legs and make a frame for the bottom as well, then I will put cloth on all sides, except one, to make a cube, finally I am going to take the cloth for the side that didn't get used and I'm going to measure it, cut a hole, sew back the edges of the hole to prevent freying and then attach it all together. This will make her a nest box/hide away bed and a perch.

You left out the WHY. Why elevated? Why just a couple inches off the ground? I've seen this design before but I didn't quite understand the advantage over just a typical cushion bed.
