if you notice in the atlas above the door, there is a crack texture with opacity. it's just a plane that is slightly in front of the bricks with that texture on it.

In some shots it was a mix of hand animation and captured ones. But mostly hand animation.

@PanRomanCG yeah, the getting up out of the seat looks like hand anim, but the walking out of the ship looks like mocap as the hand stays in the same pose

Great question! So if you are doing unique texture ( for example character ) you need to avoid overlaps excepting the moments you have similar texture ( right and left hand for example). But if you choose Trim Sheet method, it means you will have a lot of overlaps, and it's how it works in this method. Hope it helps.
