    Great Caddy, but please buckle up your lap and shoulder belts.

      Very true. These old cars don’t go very fast so it slips the mind. They also don’t have near the safety technology of the newer .

    • @bradparris99
      @bradparris99 6 місяців тому

      As you said, they don't have a lot of safety features so that is definitely why you need to buckle up both the lap and shoulder belts. Hopefully you will never need them, but if something did happen, you will be glad you were strapped in. Have fun with the Cadillac. @@ACouplesCollection

      As a teenager in the mid 70s I drove a 1970 Buick Electra and was that rare kid that wore both the lap and shoulder belts when I drove. One night a drunk driver in a Chevrolet suburban crossed the center line and hit me head on. Because of the size and quality of the Electra along with the fact that I was wearing both belts, I walked away with only minor cuts and scratches and bruises from the belts which was far better than the unbelted drunk driver. @@ACouplesCollection

    Beautiful car. Love the older full size Cadillacs. The Calais was the entry level, but just as beautiful as the Deville. Ps. I love the 69 one year only taillights!

    I had a '67 Calais coupe. Was gold in color. Your '69 came with a 472 engine while mine was,I believe,fitted with a 430. I bought it in '72. Person who ordered it did not include air cond.! It had PW and seats.

    • @ACouplesCollection
      @ACouplesCollection 7 місяців тому

      That’s what makes the Calais unique. Personalized to a buyer . This 69 is fully loaded !

    • @tedlawrence4189
      @tedlawrence4189 7 місяців тому

      Yes,the Calais was the entry level model. Then next up was the Deville then the Fleetwood. I paid $1800 for my '67. It had only 17,000 miles on it.
