I wish I had seen this back then. I love this musical.

Great singing, decent arrangement, and she's acting the role. A lot of girls sing this song like they're happy--because of course they are, it's a great song, anyone would enjoy it. But the girl singing the song is miserable, because she's nuts about this guy and he's married to somebody who is wrong for him, but he can't see it (yet). I wonder if Allegro would have worked better if the character of Emily had been given a bigger role in the story. Probably Hammerstein wondered the same thing.

the line “how can i live up to this” sends shivers down my spine and is maybe my favorite line in any musical.

Is there a video of one of the performances? It seemed in the preview that there was quite different staging in this production compared to others, and more dance. I would really love to see how Charing Cross Theatre deals with the book and music. This production looks absolutely fantastic from the little bit I found online!

the song is boring, but it is so good to see and hear hadley fraser! i really wish there was more hadley content in this world, and i also really wish he was as into recording songs from his house as ramin karimloo is.

These lovely lyrics mean so much to me, as the moon has had a personal significant since I was 7 and my dad told me I had the same name as the Roman moon goddess Diana. I've only recently discovered Mr. Fraser's remarkable voice (and impressive CV!), and his interpretation of this song is both stunning, and gently calming, as I have no idea as to when I will be able to again hug my granddaughter. It was good to find a convenient way to donate from the US, as I have streamed and watched many filmed British stage productions during the past few months. Thank you to everyone involved in creating this video, am grateful to contribute in a very small way to benefit people in the British theatrical world, and am looking forward to when we can all attend and enjoy live theater again.

Aw. How utterly gorgeous. Like the very best songs it achieves its poignancy through a clarity and simplicity that’s very moving. It’s message could be applied to so many occasions in our lives and I think it’s going to be around for a very long time. Beautifully arranged and performed too. What a fabulous idea.
