This was such a magical time at Ferrymoor when the 3 Swans , Ebony & Ivory or ( Snowy & Ollie ) where all there enjoying themselves on the pond . I loved going to see, feed them , videoing their lives day by day , I couldn’t stay away from there everyday I wanted to go and visit the flash , as Tony says in his brilliant video # you never know what’s going to happen # Now as I’m writing this it’s middle of October the weather has turned cold and we have no Swans or Ebony & Ivory 🥲! I still go down but the pond is not the same now ! Just geese , ducks , a couple of Greebe and that’s it nothing more ! Such a tragedy that the young cygnets that were born plus Stan & Cilla together with Snowy & Ollie have all gone and possibly never to return. What a shame they didn’t get to chance to enjoy the lives that were lost 😞 x H

Brings back many happy memories of fishing off the harbour wall and from those great little cobles of Flamborough Head in the 1960s . Happy Days . Most of the fish landed then seemed to be Skate . I have been trying to remember the local fish merchant whose trucks were always on the harbour loading up .

Just sat down and watched this on the TV. Wow great captures, I saw the Swan courtship and mating but did not have my video camera with me at the time. Curious as to what bird was making that whistling sound. I managed to get a few clips of the new families this morning. Not many days missed I wish we were nearer to make a regular visit. Looking forward to March and April.

Another fantastic video. What a perfect alternative to that Saturday night rubbish on TV. Looking forward to the next episode.

Could I make the suggestion that Scargill and the opportunist unions led their members down a rabbit hole all those years ago and are as much to be attributed blame as the Thatcher government?, or am I merely throwing a piece of meat into a lion's den?

Look at those that criticise her. Her commentary on socialism was spot on. The more you depend on the state, the more power they will have to take it away. She came from a hard working family and all she asked was that people pull their finger out and work hard. Well, you only have to watch this to understand the ilk that hated her, ‘the handout crowd’!
