Doubling Down on Lando feat. Darren Cox
Lewis was never a clean driver until he got in the most dominant car in F1 history. If you dispute this, go talk to Massa and watch Hamilton crash out in Monza and Singapore in 2010 or Valencia in 2012 with Maldonado.
41:11 unfortunately, I don’t think it will be enough to beat Max, which is just going to start getting more and more depressing the more he hangs on.
27:36 until their power unit blows up on lap 15😭😭😭
If its DC u know its not crappy F1 drive to survive podcast..
Great podcast ! Always fun listening to DC 👏👏
I don't know why the other guy is Dc is better than Crofty he knows what the drivers are doing Crofty only thinks he knows
Lewis in a less controversial way? I mean he was alot smarter with how he takes the opponent out ! Little bit of oversteer which they can easily recreate. He is still the goat dont get me wrong but for me that was obvious.
Very nice in depth conversation! 👍
Have McClaren been found out
British xenophobia to the Max.
12:00 You gotta love the small Mika Hakkinen easter egg on the microphone mount ;-)
The Ocon pitstop was worse…
There is an other way to look at the Perez issue. What if (I know if my aunt had a….), the RB is just a very moderate car, just a 10th of the grid car? That means that Perez is doing what he has to do, but Max is massively over performing? It’s an interesting thought.
Stats point more towards Max just being insane Vs Checo being that bad
Not one F1 great was on the grid 17 years old and winning GP''s at 18 and destroying multiple WDC's in the rain as he did Brazil 2016, the other greats including sir holy were driving a bike to school at that age. At the age of 27 he has won more in F1 than another great even close and nobody in this sport has ever been remotely as consistent as Max. David doesn't want to say his friend Eddy Jordan is right. David is part of this woke cult pretending everyone likes Lewis and Lewis is a clean racer, he wasn't and had on and off track battles with everyone who dare to battle him, even threw his former best friend under the bus. Not everyone likes the woke hypocrite but you can't say that because you are attacked by this woke identity politics cult brought into this circus by Lewis. If M4X was British and or black, the English spoken disgusting shit (social) media would have treated him very very different
You mad bro? Yeahhhh, you mad...Verstappen's driving style is just like that cheat Schumacher "over aggressive, win at any cost and when it doesn't go his way it's everybody else's fault" just like Schumacher his WDC count will be less than what's shown!!!
Critiques come for Hamilton all the time. I think you forget how quick they were to spit him out for Max and the same thing they tried to do with Norris, but he just wasn't a real contender. The sport will turn on anyone and that showed specifically this season with how the tune suddenly changed from loving Max's aggression to calling him dangerous when in 2021 he was celebrated. Because they wanted to dethrown him, the narrative changed. A lot of things are manufactured in this sport, especially now since they prioritising entertainment, popularity and money over the actual quality of racing. I also think Hamilton has been held to a different standard because he's black, any error he makes is exaggerated and people nowadays calling for his retirement, but it's crickets with Alonso. No "clean" driver has won a championship so... I like the debates on who the "greats" are, but it's really difficult to even compare because of how many factors actually affect the championships; car, team, teammate, era, FIA etc. As fans we should all just appreciate the racing and the effort the drivers/teams put in (besides Lance Stroll, I don't know what his deal is).😂
The suffering is real... Don't hurt yourself mate, he'll retire soon and hopefully you'll find some tranquility for your soul.
@@Kholmi.28Here we go again, Lewis is made a holy sir by the British media who abuse him to make themselves look woke and inclusive, Lewis had a 7 year walk in the park to 6 easy WDC’s and when the 50BHP advantage was gone a team and driver career imploded. That racist institutional victims and you and Lewis, dumb people who don’t know the difference between social economic injustice and racism, people who are racist and have no other argument than skin color, Lewis and his identity politics fans, his real legacy to this sport
No, Hamilton has never made an average car work before, he has never had an average car until he got beaten in one. He got a chance to prove his greatness in a lesser car and he didn't. F1 needs more drivers with the attitude of DC, not all of them can be the best. Perez made it far too difficult for himself by refusing to admit Verstappen is the faster driver. Being an F1 driver is great already, having a go at the WDC even greater. F1 is always about the car, team, driver combination. There is no shame in a WDC that is more down to the car than to the driver, the driver still needs to do a very good job.
Maybe watch max in torro rosso 2015... he did some pretty nice overtakes...obviously the car had no win potential but he outdrove it a few times @bniceuk8207
Until the second Honda period Mclaren was a top 3 car when Hamilton was there .
@@bniceuk8207 When Hamilton won incidentally there wasn't a dominant force present. Red Bull in the Vettel era never was that dominant. When Max won incidentally there was the dominant Mercedes on track.
Lips and sound are not sync, so i stop watching
That is a you problem.... it's in sync for everyone else i think.....
Guys in their basement have more subs and views than this fancy Lv podcast. This is a good Pod I don’t get it
Why aren’t there more subscribers. Far better f1 podcast then many others. 👏🏻👏🏻
@@nilsthart4154 agreed
Agree there are basement keyboard f1 drivers podcasts with more subs and views odd
couldn't agree more!!! it's beyond me!
I agree completely!!!
is this comment from D coulthard?🤣🤣🤣
first! DC making the podcast rounds these days
Hit the like everyone and sub if you dare !! Thank you Justin and David !
Nice chat, but would also like to see you guys talking for longer. Christian Horner unfortunately tends to have the image of the villain in F1 and this interview went some way in showing his human side.
Horner is the villain because Max is on his team. For people that dislike Max, redbull are the enemy
any1 understands how they forgot their df rear wings? or it's just that perez damages cost too much?
They just decided not to make one
@Lanse1984 they don't care about Vegas results?
@arncj18 Max commented that next year, they need to develop a rear wing for Monza and Vegas as this year they were handcuffed by not having a specialized wing. I think the reason why is in 2022/2023 they didn't need it
the infuriating thing is that all these supposed experts are talking about Lando's chance att he championship, completely forgetting & disregarding the fact that Leclerc is closer to Lando than Lando is to Max, i will laugh my ass of if by the end of the season Ferrari gets the constructor championship and Lando gets overtaken by Charles for the second place in the drivers' championship.
This was way too short. I could watch you guys talk for hours. Can you have a part 2 and 3. 😂😂
Great stuff
Who wants Ruth out?
We're not surprised you want to take it home with you Justin! We're delighted that you share the same enthusiasm for our models as us and look forward to collaborating with you more in the future.
AMAZING GUYS ❤
to name Lewis as a example of being nice off track is absurd, he is the goat of taking the battle off track into the media and even into the cooldown room, ask his former best friend who was thrown under the bus. Max, Alonso, Vettel, Massa, all had their off track battles with Lewis. Get real, biased is one thing but this is nuts.
2016 Brazil Max destroyed WDC’s Nico, Kimi and Vettel in the process and made them look average at best and he did that 18 years old, if you know this sport you know that matter a lot. Loads of generational talents but only the talent of the century was on the grid 17 years old, a age the other greats were driving a bike to school. As Niki said after Max winning a race 18 years old in a car he never drove: Talent of the century. Lets be honest, it took a lot of time for people, specially the British and we all know why, it just took a lot of time to run out of excuses
This was amazing…great to see Ruth! I love Vegas…stoked for the race! Cheers! 🤘🏽🏎️💨💨💨 Cool to hear Brian speaking of those cars… a friend of mine had one of those 70’s vets too (got a ride in it…the engine sounded epic)..& he also ended up owning Carreras…nice!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on everyone ! Push some buttons !! I would but I pushed them all ! This is a must channel ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a bla bla bla channel you are 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 a Brit ho is talking American shit 💩 🤮🤮🤮🤮
looking forward to seeing Darren's collection at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas this year
He absolutely is
Enjoyed Las Vegas GP prep scoop 😊
Most well deserved podium ever!!
If you overtake me, you don't
Agreed. I am astonished that someone can drive like that in those conditions.
Rain is the great equalizer. Engine power and aerodynamics advantage fall away and they have to rely on raw racing talent. Pierre, Esteban and Max practiced in carts in the cold and rain when others didn't. And it paid out.
Mika, no pushover -unlike Lando today
Max would complete in any era . He dominates.
As a Hamilton fan, I agree. This guy is a machine. The more I watch Max race, the more I am slowly being pulled into his fanbase 😂
Great to see and hear from your Dad he's awesome. Thanks again great episode...Viva Las Legas let's go! Looking forward to the pre-show! 🏎💨💨💨💥💣
I hope Johnny Herbert wont be stewarding the F1 in Vegas
Imagine an Dutch ex F1 driver was a FIA Steward...the world would be to small for some Brits.
@@Steinstra-vj7wlimagen with an strong negative opinion on a British driver. Also the MClaren founder's son as a steward is strange. Only the drivers and circuits are international the rest is still British and holding the sport back.
Been waiting for a while now for a good old DB and JB video , great stuff
Thank you !! Hit the like everyone and sub for Derek ! Gotta hit 2K
What about Justin? 😅
@@PeterKKraus OOoooops !!! My bad ! hihi ! Hit the like everyone for Justin !!
“The Michael” then and “The Max” now; Mika has a way with words. ;) TBH Verstappen went way out of bounds in Mexico, but I think that was a professional faul, rather than a red mist moment, knowing copping a penalty would be more effective at minimizing the points Lando could gain on him. Max, like (the) Michael, is purely interested in maximizing results, exploiting the meta to its extreme. Some might could that unsportsmanlike, but you could call it being extremely professional as well. Being nice on track doesn’t always give you the best results.
Michael legand ❤
Unbelievably underrated podcast. Thanks for the episode!
Thanks for watching -- we appreciate you!
Awesome episode great to see Mika! Looking forward to Brazil 🏎💨💨💨💥💣
Should be a great race! Sounds like Mika likes Piastri to impress...any predictions?
@@DrivetoWynn Hi! Yes Oscar might impress this weekend but the Ferrari's will be fast, their race pace is amazing at the moment so i predict a Ferrari 1/2...Piastri 3rd. Going to be a fantastic race. Sainz might snatch and secure P1 in Q3 can't wait!🙂
