Swiss immigrant farmer Joseph Zettle, University of Wisconsin horticulture professor Emmet S Goff, and A.L Hatch, a Wisconsin fruit grower experimented with cherry crops in the 1800s. They found the area was perfect for growing three varieties of cherries, leading to the cherry boom in Door County.

I was there in September of 21 and I’m going back next week. Great evaluation of all the overlooks and hikes. I think my favorites were Warner Point Trail and Exclamation Point. Keep up the great work.East Portal Rd was closed for repaving when I was there before,so it will be nice to see that part this time.
